\tTo do transfers for hotel guests when required
\n\tAnswer guest questions about Cape Town and surrounds as far as possible.
\n\tTo do administrative driving for the hotel as instructed<\/p>\n

\tThe Hotel Chauffeurs report directly to the Front of House Supervisors \/Assistant Front of House Managers and in their absence to the House Managers.<\/p>\n

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES<\/p>\n
Financial: Satisfied Shareholders:<\/p>\n
\tControlling the personal chauffeurs’ floats
\n\tRetaining receipts of any costs incurred to be presented to Accounts
\n\tFilling the tanks of both cars with unleaded petrol at the Caltex Petrol Station on Buitengracht Street in Tamboerskloof
\n\tEnsuring all transfers are charged to the correct accounts<\/p>\n
Customer Service: Delighted Customers:<\/p>\n
\tEnsuring all details about the transfers are correct (guest names, times of transfers, amount of guests in the car, destination, time of transfers, information pertinent to the guest obtainable from Fidelio and\/or guest liaison
\n\tProviding guests with the correct personal contact details and\/or the contact details for Marine Taxi
\n\tEnsuring to be on time for every guest transfer, contacting the airport for flight arrival times in case of an airport transfer.
\n\tEnsuring all extras in the car are readily available to the guest, including newspapers, CDs, water
\n\tEnsuring the cars are always clean and tidy, using Wash works in the Waterfront for the valet service of the cars
\n\tEnsuring all booked transfers will be done \u2014 informing the manager on duty should any double-bookings are made in order for the manager to make alternative arrangement.<\/p>\n
Processes: Effective Processes:<\/p>\n
\tDaily car checks before and after every shift using the checklist provided by the hotel
\n\tReporting any discrepancies on the checklist
\n\tSharing any information about the guest with the guest liaisons in order for them to add this information to the guest profile in Fidelio
\n\tKeeping an accurate log book in both cars
\n\tAdministrative driving includes the following :
\n\tLaundry for housekeeping
\n\tBanking for Accounts
\n\tGeneral purchases
\n\tGuest supplies purchases
\n\tPost Office collections and drop-offs for Procurement
\n\tErrands for Sales and Marketing<\/p>\n
Learning and Growth: Motivated and Prepared Workforce:<\/p>\n
\tAssisting of GL’s whenever necessary
\n\tSharing any information about the guest with the guest liaisons in order for them to add this information to the guest profile in Fidelio<\/p>\n
General knowledge and responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tHas a thorough knowledge of the hotel and all services provided to the guest
\n\tMaintains the high standard of service, appearance and social skills set according to the company policy
\n\tWorks in harmony with all departments and employees, is willing to assist others if and when required,
\n\tAttends all training workshops as and when required
\n\tIs familiar with all policies and procedures, house rules, fire, security and emergency procedures as well as all checklists pertaining to the position<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or equivalent,
\n\tPDP licence
\n\tExtensive knowledge on Cape Town and the surrounds
\n\tExperience in the Front of House of the hospitality industry,
\n\tProficiency in English (Verbal, Written, Reading),
\n\tDemonstrated experience using:
\n\tFidelio Opera Property Management System
\n\tMicrosoft Office Suite to at least Intermediate level
\n\tFidelio Micros food and beverage system
\n\tSuperior Customer Service and Liaison skills
\n\tAbove average problem solving skills,
\n\tAbove average ab ty to communicate at all levels of the organisation<\/p>\n
