{"id":33872,"date":"2026-04-14T10:02:47","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T10:02:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/technology-innovation-agency\/"},"modified":"2026-04-25T00:24:37","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T00:24:37","slug":"technology-innovation-agency","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=33872","title":{"rendered":"Technology Innovation Agency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n<p>\tA Postgraduate qualification in Strategic Management Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration or related field<br \/>\n\tA Master\u2019s degree (advantageous), such as MBA, Master\u2019s in Strategic Management, Master\u2019s in Public Administration (MPA), Master\u2019s in Economics or Development Studies<br \/>\n\tEight (8) years\u2019 experience within a science, technology and innovation environment<br \/>\n\tEight (8) years\u2019 experience in strategic planning, performance management, organisational reporting and analytics, corporate strategy development and execution<br \/>\n\tFive (5) years\u2019 management experience<br \/>\n\tKnowledge of PFMA;<br \/>\n\tNational Treasury and DPME guidelines on strategic planning, reporting, monitoring and evaluation<br \/>\n\tScience, technology and innovation policy-making<\/p>\n<p>Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Financial Perspective<\/p>\n<p>\tPrepare SPR budget and forecast based on operational requirements<br \/>\n\tMonitor expenditure against approved budget and address any anomalies<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholder Management<\/p>\n<p>\tMaintain good relations with key internal stakeholders \u2013 Executives, Heads and Senior Managers<br \/>\n\tMaintain good relations with key external stakeholders \u2013 DSI, DPME, external auditor and others<br \/>\n\tRepresent TIA in key thought leadership platforms, to create strategic networks, inform policy and play an advocacy role to influence evolution of the NSI on topical subjects related to innovation.<\/p>\n<p>Internal Processes<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure alignment between organisational strategy, national priorities, and business unit plans<br \/>\n\tLead and oversee implementation of TIA\u2019s evaluation plan in the context of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Strategy<br \/>\n\tLead and oversee the Agency\u2019s performance monitoring activities as required by National Treasury and DPME<br \/>\n\tEnsure accurate and timely preparation of reports for EXCO, Board, and external stakeholders<br \/>\n\tFacilitate integration across business units to ensure cohesive planning and reporting<br \/>\n\tDrive performance reviews and corrective action processes<br \/>\n\tEstablish a centralised business intelligence hub to integrate, analyse, and share data for informed strategic decision-making across the Agency.<br \/>\n\tEnhance data management and analytics by standardising data collection processes and ensuring high data quality.<br \/>\n\tChair and lead TIA\u2019s Operations Committee (OpsCom): manage key operational matters to ensure the smooth and optimal operation of the Agency<br \/>\n\tLead and oversee strategic planning through the preparation and submission of all statutory plans, specifically the Strategic Plan, the Annual Performance Plan, the Annual Operational Plan and Business Unit Operational Plans as required by NT, DPME and DSTI<br \/>\n\tProvide strategic direction towards the development of intelligence capabilities in TIA to enhance strategic decision-making.<br \/>\n\tRelevant policies, frameworks and procedures are developed, implemented and reviewed<br \/>\n\tRespond to internal and external audit findings and observations<\/p>\n<p>Learning and Growth<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure that the unit has the necessary tools and mechanisms to execute core processes<br \/>\n\tIdentify, manage and coordinate the implementation of systems, tools and initiatives to improve the performance of the SPR business unit<br \/>\n\tEffective leadership is provided to TIA in general and unit<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( N \/ A ) or<\/p>\n<p>tia.erecruit.co<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/tia.erecruit.co","_company_name":"Technology Innovation Agency","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"The Technology Innovation Agency was created by an act of the South African parliament on 24 November 2008.
