\tTo coordinate operations and oversee employees to ensure the successful completion of a project at a construction site.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Leadership<\/p>\n
\tSupervising and leading the team.
\n\tEnsuring the safety of the team members.
\n\tCommunicating the job to and with the team.
\n\tEnsuring team compliance with company policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
Planning and Scheduling<\/p>\n
\tTranslating general work requirements into a prioritised work plan for the team.
\n\tPeriodically review daily goals to meet the forecasted production.
\n\tWork with the team to overcome work related challenges.<\/p>\n
Quality\u00a0Control<\/p>\n
\tRecognising, addressing and resolving issues\/problems among or between employees in the team.
\n\tPromoting, supporting and facilitating teamwork and harmony between all team members by fostering a positive attitude among all team members.<\/p>\n
Administration<\/p>\n
\tReporting\u00a0on\u00a0work\u00a0progress
\n\tKeep\u00a0disciplinary\u00a0reports.
\n\tDaily\u00a0time and attendance
\n\tRecommending workforce\u00a0actions\u00a0such\u00a0as recruitment, releasing, promotions and discipline.<\/p>\n
Safety<\/p>\n
\tFacilitating mandatory safety toolbox meetings.
\n\tEnsuring completion of initial safety and hazard assessments.
\n\tParticipating in Safety\/incident investigations.
\n\tEnsuring that company vehicles and equipment checks are carried out.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12.
\n\tCertificate in a skilled trade is advantageous.<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tA minimum of three years\u2019 relevant experience supervising construction teams.
\n\tEarthworks\u00a0working\u00a0experience.<\/p>\n

\tExcellent organisational and Leadership skills.
\n\tProblem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
\n\tExcellent writing and reporting skills.
\n\tExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.

\n\tKnows and understands the OHSA\/MHSA and Safety and environmental issues.<\/p>\n
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tWork is performed in an office on-site.
\n\tOver time work required.
\n\tTravelling to remote sites.<\/p>\n
