This role is for both Equipment and the Aftermarket business in Southern Africa.<\/p>\n<p>KEY RESONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n<p>STRATEGIC PLANNING<\/p>\n<p>\tParticipate in the formulation of the divisional strategy in line with company strategy and develop sales area (mechanical cutting) strategy aligned to the divisional strategy for submission to the Vice President for approval:<br \/>\n\tUnderstand the market to identify customer activities.<br \/>\n\tGain an understanding of equipment requirements of customers.<br \/>\n\tDefine the market pipeline.<br \/>\n\tApprove and sign off forecast plan and make presentation to the key internal stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tCreate account management teams to drive the sales strategy.<br \/>\n\tImplement approved sales area (mechanical cutting) strategy with direct line managers and adjust sales area (mechanical cutting) strategy to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.<\/p>\n<p>PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT<\/p>\n<p>\tIdentify market changes and future requirements by analysing trends and customer needs.<br \/>\n\tStrategically liaise with Global Mechanical Cutting to ensure machine development and solutions are done timeously and to meet future market requirements.<br \/>\n\tIdentify acquisitions from a product development perspective and submit business case to determine viability and sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>AFTERMARKET SERVICES<\/p>\n<p>\tCraft the aftermarket strategy to align to the divisional strategy, sales strategy and customer expectations.<br \/>\n\tManage the implementation of the strategy and map the profitability. This includes authorizing of business cases and ensuring commercial compliance.<br \/>\n\tManage CRM opportunities to ensure compliance.<\/p>\n<p>CUSTOMER RELATIONS<\/p>\n<p>\tInitiate and mobilize customer relations for the Service team.<br \/>\n\tContinuously seek to improve existing customer relations and attend to customer meetings or engagements on a regular basis.<br \/>\n\tProvide customer feedback on products and keep the customer engaged on product development.<br \/>\n\tClarify expectations and long-term planning (product roadmap) for the customer.<\/p>\n<p>BUDGET MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\tProduce rolling forecast and monthly budgets and prepare monthly operating review (MOR).<br \/>\n\tProvide a destocking plan for managing physical stock.<br \/>\n\tManage profit margins, pricing, the A&amp;S budget, account receivables and networking capital.<\/p>\n<p>COMPLIANCE<\/p>\n<p>\tComply with safety regulations and internal standards and procedures.<br \/>\n\tComply with applicable legislation i.e., Section 21 of Mine, Health &amp; Safety Act.<br \/>\n\tMonitor compliance of team members to safety regulations, applicable legislation and internal standards and procedures.<\/p>\n<p>PEOPLE MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\tManage the approval for the recruitment and performance management process of subordinates in consultation with the relevant stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tCreate learning opportunities for subordinates through the identification of areas for development, coaching and recommending formal functional training when required.<br \/>\n\tImplement talent management and succession planning frameworks.<br \/>\n\tManage sound employ\u200bee relations in accordance with HR policy and procedures.<\/p>\n<p>EDUCATION:<\/p>\n<p>\tBSc Honours Degree in Mining, Mechanical Engineering, or other Engineering field essential<br \/>\n\tMBA\/MBL and\/or MEng advantageous<br \/>\n\tAdvanced Computer Literacy<\/p>\n<p>EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n<p>\t8 to 10 years sales and marketing experience in a mining or related industry, of which 6+ years in a senior management capacity<br \/>\n\tEnglish proficiency<br \/>\n\tExperience in key account management<br \/>\n\tExperience in Cole mining applications (specifically continuous mining operations)<\/p>\n<p>COMPENTENCIES:<\/p>\n<p>\tAccount Management<br \/>\n\tFinance and Business Acumen<br \/>\n\tQuality Management<br \/>\n\tLeadership<br \/>\n\tProblem Solving<br \/>\n\tRisk Management<br \/>\n\tAdministrative Compliance<br \/>\n\tProject Management and Field Sales<br \/>\n\tStakeholder Management<br \/>\n\tEmployee Relations<br \/>\n\tCoaching<br \/>\n\tConflict Management<br \/>\n\tCommunication<br \/>\n\tTeamwork<br \/>\n\tDelivery Focus<br \/>\n\tProblem Solving<br \/>\n\tStrategic<br \/>\n\tEthical Behavior<br \/>\n\tCollaboration<br \/>\n\tProducing Results<\/p>\n<p>go to method of application \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( http:\/\/home.sandvik ) or<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"Sandvik","_company_website":"http:\/\/home.sandvik","_company_tagline":"Sandvik is a global industrial group with advanced products and world-leading positions in selected areas - tools for metal cutting, machinery and tools for rock excavation, stainless materials, special alloys, metallic and ceramic resistance materials as well as process systems.
