The HR Officer is responsible for ensuring efficient HR service delivery, supporting stakeholders, and enhancing employee experience through effective execution of HR processes, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and engagement initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Main Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\nHR Lifecycle Management<\/p>\n<p>\tManage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless employee experience<br \/>\n\tCoordinate and monitor probation management processes, including scheduling and tracking reviews<br \/>\n\tSupport and administer the performance management process, including goal setting and review cycles<br \/>\n\tEnsure all employee lifecycle documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholder Management<\/p>\n<p>\tServe as a key point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and line managers<br \/>\n\tBuild and maintain strong, effective working relationships with stakeholders across the business<br \/>\n\tProvide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices<\/p>\n<p>Employee Relations &amp; Compliance<\/p>\n<p>\tSupport disciplinary, grievance, and incapacity processes in line with company policies and procedures<br \/>\n\tEscalate complex ER matters to the HR Business Partner or HR Manager where required<br \/>\n\tMonitor employee relations trends and proactively flag potential risks.<\/p>\n<p>Recruitment Support<\/p>\n<p>\tAssist with interview processes where required<\/p>\n<p>Payroll &amp; Benefits Administration<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide accurate input into payroll processes<br \/>\n\tSupport the administration of employee benefits (e.g., medical aid, pension\/provident fund)<br \/>\n\tResolve payroll-related queries in collaboration with Finance and Payroll teams<\/p>\n<p>Employee Experience &amp; Well-being<\/p>\n<p>\tCoordinate and support employee well-being initiatives across the employee lifecycle<br \/>\n\tAssist in driving engagement initiatives to enhance employee experience<br \/>\n\tContribute to fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture<\/p>\n<p>Events &amp; Internal Engagement<\/p>\n<p>\tCoordinate and prepare for internal events, including townhalls and employee engagement sessions<br \/>\n\tSupport logistics, communication, and execution of HR-related events<\/p>\n<p>Operational Support &amp; Continuous Improvement<\/p>\n<p>\tManage HR administrative tasks efficiently with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality<br \/>\n\tIdentify opportunities to improve HR processes and drive efficiency<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<br \/>\nQualifications\/Recognition of Prior Learning equivalent<\/p>\n<p>\tDegree or Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field<\/p>\n<p>Work Experience<\/p>\n<p>\t2\u20134 years\u2019 experience in an HR generalist or HR Officer role<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge<\/p>\n<p>\tHR lifecycle processes\u00a0<br \/>\n\tLabour legislation and employee relations practices\u00a0<br \/>\n\tHR systems and reporting tools<\/p>\n<p>Technical Competencies<\/p>\n<p>\tHR administration and lifecycle coordination\u00a0<br \/>\n\tEmployee relations support\u00a0<br \/>\n\tHR reporting and data management\u00a0<br \/>\n\tRecruitment and event coordination<\/p>\n<p>Behavioural Competencies<\/p>\n<p>\tStrong organisational and time management skills\u00a0<br \/>\n\tHigh level of proactiveness and initiative\u00a0<br \/>\n\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\u00a0<br \/>\n\tStrong attention to detail and accuracy\u00a0<br \/>\n\tAbility to handle confidential information with discretion\u00a0<br \/>\n\tAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities\u00a0<br \/>\n\tStrong sense of accountability and ownership<\/p>\n<p>go to method of application \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( https:\/\/www.bdo.co.za\/en-za\/home ) or<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"BDO South Africa","_company_website":"https:\/\/www.bdo.co.za\/en-za\/home","_company_tagline":"BDO helps a diverse range of clients with different needs.
