The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:<\/p>\n
Review the work of internal auditors by providing necessary on-the-job coaching and training as needed.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tContribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, checklists, models, frameworks and templates governing internal auditing within the SARB.\u00a0
\n\tStay abreast of and apply current work methods, analytical techniques and protocols relevant to audit work.\u00a0
\n\tConduct research and compile clear and reliable preplanning working papers that reflect research outcomes as part of the process understanding.\u00a0
\n\tDefine the scope and objectives of audit assignments.\u00a0
\n\tPerform engagement risk assessments, walkthroughs and adequacy assessments using research and analytical tools.\u00a0
\n\tDevelop an audit programme to address audit objectives.\u00a0
\n\tLead audit projects or assignments to meet targeted milestones.\u00a0
\n\tExecute the audit programme, including conducting, evaluating, documenting and finalising audit tests within the working papers.\u00a0
\n\tDraft detailed audit findings that include standard, condition, root cause, impact and recommendations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Job requirements<\/p>\n
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:<\/p>\n
\tan Honours degree (NQF 8) in Internal Auditing, Information System, Accounting, Risk Management or an equivalent qualification;
\n\ta Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or a Chartered Accountant CA(SA) qualification; and\u00a0
\n\tfive to seven years\u2019 experience within an auditing environment.\u00a0<\/p>\n
