MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tBCom Accounting degree or diploma in accounting
\n\t3-5 years relevant experience
\n\tAdvanced Excel skills
\n\tIn depth knowledge of Accounting and Financial statements
\n\tKnowledge of SAGE Pastel Evolution will be added advantage.
\n\tUnderstanding of the IDU Budget and Forecasting tool will be an added advantage.
\n\tAdvanced computer literacy<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that all transactions are captured accurately on Evolution.
\n\tReports on creditors\u2019 transactions
\n\tMonitors and matches payments with orders, requisitions, GRVs, invoices and expenses.
\n\tBalances intercompany accounts, including issue or capture of intercompany invoicing.
\n\tRaises journals and reconciles creditors\u2019 ledger.
\n\tReporting on creditors\u2019 age analysis
\n\tCaptures the month\u2019s sales.
\n\tReporting on debtors\u2019 age analysis
\n\tPerforms general ledgers for management reporting.
\n\tProcesses and manages VAT and VAT returns.
\n\tPrepares general ledgers for management reporting.
\n\tFixed assets register maintenance and posting of depreciation journal.
\n\tPosting of bank transactions and reconciliations
\n\tPreparation of monthly management accounts on the prescribed format.
\n\tMonthly reporting to various stakeholders on a prescribed format
\n\tEnsuring the stock costing on the system is correct.
\n\tEnsuring that the stock quantities are correct.
\n\tMonthly accounting of stock movements and balancing to the control account.<\/p>\n
