\tThe Junior Plant Engineer \u2013 is responsible for designing and delivering on engineering plan and projects for all SOAF (Southern Africa) plants, although the majority of time will be spent in Lanseria, supporting the local plants’ maintenance teams in implementation\/improvement of proper equipment and maintenance when and where needed<\/p>\n
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Utilities & Infrastructure:<\/p>\n
\tResponsible to define, plan, order and direct utilities installations
\n\tPerforms cost analysis for facility or utilities equipment
\n\tMonitors the production plant infrastructure equipment parameters to ensure operation within accepted, defined specifications including electrical power usage
\n\tBriefs and manages all contractors to either newly install, repair or maintain the above-mentioned infrastructure equipment
\n\tCoordinates all infrastructure project with clear project objectives and a timetable to ensure that all tasks are completed within time and budget
\n\tAssists in design and coordination of plant layout with CAD
\n\tReviews plant layout design for compliance with local law, engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements
\n\tUpdates our internal ERP system (eMIS) in terms of energy and water consumption, costs, and infrastructure
\n\tParticipates in designing, updating drawing layouts, managing and or monitoring small to midsize projects regarding the facility and utilities.
\n\tCoordinates and develops facility and infrastructure team\/Maintenance team<\/p>\n
Production & Productivity:<\/p>\n
\tCommunicates any impact on planning with related departments
\n\tAssist maintenance on infrastructure or engineering matters<\/p>\n
Product Quality:<\/p>\n
\tEnsures that any project\/engineering activities do not impact the quality of our products that is being produced
\n\tAssists local Maintenance, Quality and Production departments on any customer quality concern when needed<\/p>\n

\tS6 (Assure product conformity)
\n\tS6.3 Responsible to comply with all Hygiene requirements in the plant.
\n\tS6.2 Support complaint handling by reporting all identified non-conformities and support in the implementation of effective corrective actions determined by the process owner, when needed.
\n\tS10 (Ensure occupational health, safety and environment)
\n\tEnsure that HSE compliance in own area of responsibility.
\n\tReport any incident or unsafe conditions seen in the plant\/ work area.<\/p>\n
What you can expect working with us
\nREQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tMin. qualification – Technical Diploma in Electrical\/Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 5 Years’ experience in FMCG or related industry.
\n\tAt least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry
\n\tMust have technical experience\/Insight
\n\tProject management skills including MS Project, Excel, Word
\n\tAutoCAD 2D layout skills
\n\tProfound communication skills
\n\tExcellent teamwork and conflict management skills
\n\tVery good command of written and spoken English
\n\tFamiliar with 5S and lean management tools
\n\tAdvanced knowledge of MS Office
\n\tInteraction with the production, quality and logistics team as required<\/p>\n
