\tRCL FOODS is currently looking for a talented and organized Channel Representative to join our team to be based at our Bloemfontein Depot. The Channel Representative will report to the Regional Sales Manager. The role requires an experienced Channel Representative who is diligent, organized, and self-motivated. The successful Channel Representative will be responsible to address regular operational needs of customers and drive sales performance.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMatric\/Grade 12
\n\tDiploma\/Degree in Sales or Marketing\u00a0
\n\tValid Driver\u2019s License (Code 10) with PDP
\n\t3 to 5 years relevant experience\u00a0<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nEnsure efficient and cost-effective product distribution<\/p>\n
\tEnsure driver teams deliver according to mapped and optimised routes
\n\tEnsure all new and old customers are plotted on the GPS system
\n\tEnsure orders are geared towards improving truck utilisation and loaves\/km
\n\tEnsure delivery teams invoices correspond with loading list before vehicle leaves bakery<\/p>\n
Ensure balancing of orders placed, delivered and returned<\/p>\n
\tMonitor driver orders for informal trade customers daily
\n\tMonitor and track returns daily
\n\tCraft and action plans to drastically improve returns<\/p>\n
Submit sales figures from drivers daily<\/p>\n
\tEnsure driver teams\u2019 sales are in line with sales targets
\n\tSource and distribute of key trade intelligence
\n\tProvide actionable plans for improvements and combating competitor activities<\/p>\n
Ensure the capturing and allocation of all customer details<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all customer details and classifications are loaded correctly on new accounts and are correctly listed on existing accounts<\/p>\n
\u00a0Ensure driver competency and delivery time management<\/p>\n
\tSupport, train, discipline and lead the driver & van assistant teams to deliver sales excellence
\n\tEmploy efficient route riding system to see all customers within each month
\n\tEvaluate on-the-job performance, and provide training on shortfalls identified<\/p>\n
Monitor Trade Prices<\/p>\n
\tSubmit weekly price surveys for informal trade customers
\n\tMonitor RSP\u2019s and execute pricing strategy, policy and mandate<\/p>\n
Build long standing relationship with customers<\/p>\n
\tIncrease sales volume and market share in General Trade stores
\n\tDevelop a strategy with Informal Sales Representative to gain new business
\n\tHandle customer complaints and queries
\n\tEnsure merchandising to the company\u2019s standards
\n\tSupports the Informal Sales Representative in providing adequate route optimisation and rationalisation solutions
\n\tEnsure the customer needs are met within a viable business framework
\n\tProvide a link between customers and drivers for a seamless transition of products
\n\tProvide key trade intel and address regular customer service requirements<\/p>\n
