As a Diesel Mechanic, your key responsibility will be the overall maintenance and repairs of earthmoving equipment. The successful candidate should be physically and mentally fit and have a solid knowledge of basic mechanic\u2019s tools, service and diagnostic equipment.<\/p>\n
Key responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tConducting repair and service work both on site and in the workshop
\n\tMachine assessments and complete job cards
\n\tProvide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
\n\tTie workflow to schedule
\n\tManage all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
\n\tDiagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
\n\tProduce timely and detailed service reports
\n\tOperate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
\n\tFollow all company\u2019s filed procedures and protocols
\n\tCo-operate with technical team and share information across the organisation<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMatric \/ Grade 12 Certificate
\n\tEnglish literacy essential
\n\tPost matric qualification \/ N3
\n\tMust be a qualified earthmoving equipment mechanic or diesel mechanic (trade tested)
\n\t5 years\u2019 experience after qualification \u2013 with traceable references
\n\tAuto electrical will be advantageous
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license
\n\tProven field service experience
\n\tAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
\n\tAbility to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedule<\/p>\n
