The incumbent is responsible to develop and manage relationships with all 3rd party service providers as well as customers where onsite activities occur within their area of responsibility.<br \/>\n\tThe incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring that all Company policies and procedures (ie SLA\u2019s and SOP\u2019s) are adhered to and implemented by all staff and 3rd party contractors situated in his\/her area of responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>Key Accountabilities\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>People and Safety<\/p>\n<p>\tPromote and drive a culture of Zero Harm.<br \/>\n\tImplement and drive the safety strategies across CHEP and TPM plants.<br \/>\n\tResponsible for the GAP, SEMP and Environmental requirements and audit results.<br \/>\n\tRecruit, motivate and develop subordinates and ensure a succession plan is in place.<br \/>\n\tDevelop a motivated and productive workforce through effective people management and communication skills.<br \/>\n\tEnsures that good communications and sound relationships are maintained with all employees, shop stewards and respective unions.<\/p>\n<p>Cost and Metrics\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop, implement and manage processes to drive efficiencies and cost reductions.<br \/>\n\tManaging plant costs, production, ensuring highest physical throughput meeting company objectives.<br \/>\n\tReport on all Plant KPI\u2019s and compile monthly reports.<\/p>\n<p>Stock Management\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tResponsible for the management and control of all hire stock and raw material.<br \/>\n\tHighlight areas of risk and manage variances to ensure the prevention of any stock losses.<br \/>\n\tParticipates in regular stock audits, supervises all quarterly and annual stock-count audits and resolves queries.<br \/>\n\tEnsures that the area of responsibility is efficiently stocked with both hire equipment and repair material to meet customer requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Quality\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop and implement quality systems to ensure customer quality standards are met.<br \/>\n\tConducts quality audits and analyse the data to ensure corrective action is taken for poor quality and\/or over-repair. \u00a0<br \/>\n\tFollow up and resolve all customer complaints and recommends\/implements solutions.<\/p>\n<p>3rd Party Service Providers\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tManage and assist 3rd Party Service Providers through Service Level Agreement stipulations and requirements.<br \/>\n\tEffectively develop 3rd party relationships with a continuous focus on reducing costs through cooperative initiatives and amicable business negotiations.<br \/>\n\tEnsure 3rd party compliance to all CHEP Operational SOP\u2019s as well as statuary requirements which includes the LRA, BCEA, EE, and OHSACT.<\/p>\n<p>Operational Systems\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsures that all legal and statutory requirements (such as labour legislation) as well as Company policies and procedures applicable to the Operations function are implemented and complied with by all staff.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tEnsures efficient and effective operating methods (i.e. for inspection, repair, manufacture, etc.) are developed and maintained to achieve productivity, quality and cost targets.<\/p>\n<p>Plant and Property Maintenance\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tResponsible for the overall maintenance of the plant to ensure a \u00a0smooth, efficient operation of the plant and machinery at the Service Centre(s) in accordance with Company and Government Regulations and Standards<br \/>\n\tEnsure that all electrical and mechanical equipment are operating in strict accordance with Government and Company Rules and Regulations<\/p>\n<p>Scope\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tCountries : Eswatini and Mozambique<br \/>\n\tLocations : 2 \u2013 6 (Including a Large service centre)<\/p>\n<p>Key Requirements\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tDegree or a Completed Diploma<br \/>\n\tSix Sigma Green Belt Certified (Will be Advantageous)<br \/>\n\t10 Years Production Management experience in a unionized environment<\/p>\n<p>Skills and Knowledge\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tResults driven<br \/>\n\tSound business and commercial acumen.<br \/>\n\tComputer literacy (SAP, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).<br \/>\n\tAssertive with good communication, organisational and negotiation skills.<br \/>\n\tSound people management with extensive knowledge of Industrial Relations.<br \/>\n\tGood knowledge of OSHACT Safety legislation and procedures is essential.<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( http:\/\/global.chep.com ) or<\/p>\n<p>brambles.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/brambles.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com","_company_name":"CHEP","_company_website":"http:\/\/global.chep.com","_company_tagline":"Founded in Australia in 1945, CHEP is a leading provider of pallet and container pooling services for the Aerospace, Automotive, Chemical, Consumer Goods, Fresh Food and Manufacturing industries.
