Job Description<\/p>\n
\tThe qualified Welder\u2019s primary purpose is to provide support within the Engineering division in the Boilershop as dictated by operational requirements in the form of Welding structures and maintenance thereof.<\/p>\n
THE FOLLOWING TASKS WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:<\/p>\n
\tPerform general welding on structures, trailers, trucks and other equipment
\n\tDo positional welding where required
\n\tWorks in conjunction with Boilermaker
\n\tMust be proficient in Arc, MIG ,TIG welding and Gouging.
\n\tGrinding material as required
\n\tCutting material using cutting torch<\/p>\n
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tRed Seal Welding certificate or equivalent qualification.
\n\t2 \u2013 3 years post qualification experience
\n\tKnowledge of various power tools
\n\tKnowledge of various hand and workshop tools is an advantage
\n\tBasic knowledge of Health and Safety Rules
\n\tMust be physically fit and not have fear of heights
\n\tPrevious experience in a physically demanding working environment would be advantageous.<\/p>\n

\n\tWilling to work overtime and shifts as and when required
\n\tHardworking and ability to take initiative.
\n\tProblem solving skills.<\/p>\n
