Purpose Statement<\/p>\n
\tThe level II Software Engineer plays an integral part in a cross-functional team dedicated to the full software development lifecycle, from concept, to development to deployment and ultimately operating of each product. At this level, Software Engineers are responsible to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software systems and applications based on specifications, while adhering to established standards. They translate requirements from the business or technical analyst and actively participate with the delivery team in design and problem-solving.
\n\tThe Full Stack Software Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of web applications and works on all layers of the application stack. They are therefore responsible for applying a holistic approach to building solutions that not only offer optimum performance, reliability, and scale but also create great client experiences.<\/p>\n
Education (Minimum)<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 National Certificate \/ Vocational<\/p>\n
Education (Ideal or Preferred)<\/p>\n
\tA relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Experience
\nExperience:<\/p>\n
\t3+ years\u2019 proven experience in both front- and back-end software development, project delivery and implementation (in relevant development technologies\/language). Experience with modern front-end and back-end frameworks and technologies<\/p>\n
Knowledge:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following:<\/p>\n

\n\tDeployment using kubernetes and containerization
\n\tResponsive design principles and mobile-first development.
\n\tBrowser compatibility issues and performance optimisation.
