This is a skilled position responsible for the overall management of all project teams involved in the transacting\/closing phase of projects, including project finance, contract management, permitting, engineering, procurement, interconnection, HSE, insurance and construction readiness.
\n\tCoordinate and lead the project teams involved in the transacting\/closing phase (pre-NTP) of the project, including both within the function (financial modelling, engineering, procurement, construction readiness, permitting, interconnection, contract management, HSE, insurance) and external within the company (finance including modelling, legal, asset management, etc.).
\n\tManage and coordinate external advisors (financial advisors, LLA, LTA, owner engineers, ED advisors, etc.).
\n\tOptimize the financial model.
\n\tDirect interface with key stakeholders at project level, including off-takers, partners, Lenders, Eskom, etc.
\n\tAchieve financial close on time, under budget and with the highest quality and HSE standards.
\n\tImplement and lead all project controls processes: cost controls, contract management and scheduling.
\n\tEffectively communicate to all project stakeholder project progress and possible alternative plans to recuperate possible project deviations.
\n\tLiaise with all team leads to identify possible conflict on execution because of their different areas of concern.
\n\tIdentify the sources of likely problems early on and proactively take preventive measures to avoid any potential project risks and determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact (always have a plan B).
\n\t\u201cNo surprises\u201d approach to project execution.
\n\tManagement of the project contractual obligations.
\n\tProject reporting (internal and external).
\n\tEstablish cost report and KPIs for control of the project.
\n\tAnticipate and lead internal governance processes in order to obtain project\u2019s FID.

Candidate Profile<\/p>\n
\tBEng\/BSc degree in Engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, etc.).
\n\tMinimum 7 – 10 years\u2019 experience in development and\/or execution of EPC projects of medium to large size.
\n\tMinimum 5 years project management experience with medium and large size projects (preferably in the energy sector)
\n\tHaving experience dealing with the local utility (ESKOM).
\n\tKnowledge and experience in power purchase agreements.
\n\tExperience in Contract, Risk and Procurement Management.
\n\tDeep knowledge of Project controls (cost controls, contract management and scheduling).
\n\tConsolidated knowledge in planning software (MS Projects, etc.).
\n\tMaster\u2019s degree in project management or PMP is a plus.<\/p>\n
