\n\tJob card \/ Ticket Resolution\u2013 Able to communicate effectively to manage, prioritise and resolve job cards \/ tickets for assigned tasks and service requests.
\n\tDocumentation\u00a0\u2013 Create and maintain documentation related to the server & storage environment. This includes knowledge repository \/ wiki , training material , standards and procedures.<\/p>\n
Support job role requirements<\/p>\n
\tMust provide support to other IT teams (Software & Systems , Network , End-User etc) as well as end-users via job card \/ ticket resolution , in a competent, respectful and professional manner.
\n\tAfter-hours stand-by on a rotational basis within the team is a requirement,<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
At least 3-6 years relevant experience in server engineer\/administration role within IT infrastructure support and administration with hands-on experience on:<\/p>\n
\tserver virtualization
\n\tserver & storage administration
\n\tdomain & user administration
\n\thardware installation & configuration
\n\tmonitoring , alerting & performance management
\n\tbackup & recovery
\n\tdatabase operations \/ administration
\n\tPlacement at a particular grade is contingent upon management\u2019s decision as well as additional relevant skills -based and site-specific factors deemed appropriate.Qualification
\n\tMatric-Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)<\/p>\n
Required Certifications:<\/p>\n
\tCertification in a current Server Virtualization technology (VMware Certified Professional VPC, Microsoft Azure Administrator , Oracle VM , HPE VM Essentials etc.)
\n\tCertification or equivalent Formal Training Qualification that will validate competence in Microsoft Active Directory and Domain Administration (Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate , Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate , MCSE \/ MCP , or equivalent)
