ROLE PURPOSE<\/p>\n
\tThe incumbent will be responsible for the management and execution of the Maintenance Engineering functions and outputs. The overall objective is to ensure value for money for our customers through the implementation of the Maintenance Engineering deliverables.<\/p>\n
MAIN OUTPUTS<\/p>\n
\tProvide maintenance support to resolve plant and equipment-related issues.
\n\tEnsure all plant and equipment data is accurately captured and maintained in CMMS (SAP).
\n\tPerform on-site asset verification and update CMMS (SAP) records accordingly.
\n\tLink task lists and planned maintenance schedules to all relevant plant and equipment.
\n\tCompile site-specific engineering equipment instructions (job plans).
\n\tReview and maintain asset maintenance strategies, including engineering equipment Instructions.
\n\tRecommission existing HVAC and building management system equipment to meet original design criteria.
\n\tProvide advisory support to regions on statutory and regulatory requirements.
\n\tProvide inputs for HVAC maintenance service contracts.
\n\tOffer Level 2 support for breakdowns and equipment reinstatement.
\n\tPerform quality audits and job observations.
\n\tConduct incident and failure investigations and compile detailed reports.
\n\tAnalyze failure data and implement preventive measures to reduce or prevent failures.
\n\tManage the plant and equipment asset life cycle and update the relevant database.
\n\tConduct site visits to compile plant and equipment condition reports for the project and risk management processes.
\n\tComplete documentation for funding requests for mechanical\/HVAC replacements, upgrades, and refurbishments.
\n\tCompile, process, and track risk notifications.
\n\tDesign and implementation of smaller HVAC and ventilation solutions and systems.
\n\tProficient in air conditioning, heat load and ventilation calculations. (This will include site visits to perform audits)
\n\tCooling Capacity Management \u2013 Review and update the cooling capacity database.
\n\tApprove project specifications from a Compliance, Constructability, Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (CCRAM) engineering perspective.
\n\tAttend project meetings and site visits to ensure compliance with specifications and CCRAM standards.
\n\tAnalyse plant and equipment performance and other reports from Business Analysts to investigate and implement improvements.
\n\tCompile Data Centre monthly reports.
\n\tParticipate in technical meetings with clients.
\n\tPerform general administrative duties.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
\nThe Applicant must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMatric (Senior Certificate)
\n\tB Tech Degree, S4 or N6 in Mechanical\/Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineering
\n\tQualification in Electrical Engineering (advantageous)
\n\tTrade: Refrigeration and Air-conditioning
\n\tElectrical trade test (advantageous)\u00a0
\n\tCode B (Minimum) \u2013 Frequent traveling required
\n\t10 – 15 years\u2019 experience in the Design and Maintenance of HVAC systems
\n\tKnowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and components
\n\tRead and interpret schematics, and technical manuals
\n\tIncident and failure investigation
\n\tTechnical report writing
\n\tFunctional specific training in (Mechanical\/Air-conditioning and ventilation)
\n\tRoot-cause analysis
\n\tOccupational Health and Safety Act
