The Main Purpose of the job<\/p>\n
\tThe Successful applicant will be responsible for all food service – related activities which include managing of daily operations of the kitchen area, implementation of the production process, managing food\/labour costs and an overall understanding of HACCP.<\/p>\n
Education and Experience required:<\/p>\n
\tRelevant tertiary qualification in hospitality and catering management is compulsory.
\n\tMinimum 3 Years of experience of progressive\/kitchen management is compulsory.
\n\tExperience working within budget guidelines to deliver results is compulsory.
\n\tHigh Volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
\n\tHealthcare catering experience is compulsory.<\/p>\n
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:<\/p>\n
\tKnowledge of the catering environment ranging from fine dining to restaurant dining.
\n\tKnowledge of South African and industry-specific laws.
\n\tExcellent customer service skills.
\n\tExcellent people management skills.
\n\tExceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
\n\tExceptional functions management skills.
\n\tAbility to balance the budget and save on costs.
\n\tComputer literate.<\/p>\n
Key areas of responsibility:<\/p>\n
