{"id":34267,"date":"2026-04-20T12:04:04","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T12:04:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/utilities-administrator-recoveries-portfolio-facilities-manager-_industrial-portfolio_coastal\/"},"modified":"2026-04-20T12:04:56","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T12:04:56","slug":"utilities-administrator-recoveries-portfolio-facilities-manager-_industrial-portfolio_coastal","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/utilities-administrator-recoveries-portfolio-facilities-manager-_industrial-portfolio_coastal\/","title":{"rendered":"Utilities Administrator: Recoveries \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Portfolio Facilities Manager _Industrial Portfolio_Coastal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Primary Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n<p>\tTo provide specialist support to ensure that utility recovery ratios are accurate and optimised and to take responsibility for billing, query, financial and supplier management for their assigned portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>Key Performance Areas (KPA\u2019s)<\/p>\n<p>\tTo review recovery ratios ensuring that ratios are maintained and optimised where possible (monthly review of utility management performance reporting for each property flagging potential issues with service providers and internal stakeholders).<br \/>\n\tTo ensure the optimal and accurate recovery tariff allocation in line with Redefine\u2019s agreed billing methodologies.<br \/>\n\tTo review the accurate allocation of supply, metering and expenses to consumers and ensure all consumption is accounted for.<br \/>\n\tTo ensure all tenant and billing related queries are addressed timeously.<br \/>\n\tTo provide specialist and\/or technical support related to utility management to property management teams where needed.<br \/>\n\tTo track utility management service provider performance to ensure services are delivered as per service level agreements and address and resolve non-performance.<br \/>\n\tTo assist Property Administration with technical query resolution.<br \/>\n\tTo ensure that all recovery liability information remain up-to-date and is timeously provided to the service provider by the relevant departments.<br \/>\n\tTo ensure the accurate allocation of recoveries (based on liability information) by the appointed utility management service provider.<br \/>\n\tTo prepare and provide monthly performance reporting to the business.<br \/>\n\tTo interact with utility analyst to understand improvement opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<\/p>\n<p>A solid understanding of:<\/p>\n<p>\tUtility management (especially within the context of recovery of utilities within multi-tenanted properties).<br \/>\n\tMetering and verification principles.<br \/>\n\tElectrical distribution systems and energy fundamentals.<br \/>\n\tMunicipal utility tariffs.<br \/>\n\tRegulatory principles and requirements about the supply and recovery of electricity, water and sewer services.<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge of:<\/p>\n<p>\tElectricity, water and waste management principles.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\tSenior Certificate (with Mathematics and Accounts as a subject preferred).<br \/>\n\tTertiary qualification beneficial.<br \/>\n\tAdditional qualifications or certifications relevant to the industry beneficial.<\/p>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<p>\tAt least 3 years\u2019 experience of utility management (within the property sector preferred).<\/p>\n<p>Proficiencies<\/p>\n<p>\tProficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Microsoft Excel (working with pivot tables and large data sets)<br \/>\n\tStrong financial and analytical skills.<br \/>\n\tVendor management skills.<\/p>\n<p>Competencies<br \/>\nAnalysing and Interpreting &#8211;
