Benefits Manager to manage and coordinate remuneration, payroll and benefits activities within the business. \u00a0The role is responsible for executing end-to-end payroll and benefits processes, maintaining relevant HR systems and controls, supporting salary alignment and pay structure administration, and ensuring sound governance, compliance and stakeholder service across the function.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nRequired Qualifications \/ Experience<\/p>\n<p>\tBachelor\u2019s degree or National Diploma in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.<br \/>\n\tRegistered Compensation Profession (RGP) or equivalent certification \u2013 Advantageous.<br \/>\n\tPayroll Association of Southern Africa (SARA) or South African Payroll Association (SAPA) membership\/certification \u2013 Advantageous.<br \/>\n\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in payroll, remuneration and benefits administration and management.<br \/>\n\tStrong working knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, employee benefits, governance and related HR processes.<br \/>\n\tDemonstrated experience in HRIS implementation and system administration.<br \/>\n\tAdvanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, Lookup, nested IFS, Power Query, dashboards)<br \/>\n\tSolid experience in compensation benchmarking and pay structure design.<br \/>\n\tSouth African Legislative knowledge (LRA, BCEA, EEA, Income Tax Act, Pension Funds Act, POPIA)<br \/>\n\tKnowledge of the Metal and Engineering Industries Main Agreement \u2013 Recommended<\/p>\n<p>Skills and Attributes<\/p>\n<p>\tExceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to think at a high level \u2013 you must be able to do both.<br \/>\n\tBusiness and financial acumen<br \/>\n\tRational, evidence-based thinker \u2013 approaches problems with logic, not assumption.<br \/>\n\tHigh degree of discretion and integrity when handling confidential employee data.<br \/>\n\tStrong communication skills and a collaborative, team-orientated approach.<br \/>\n\tProactive, self-driven and commercially aware<br \/>\n\tPolicy interpretation and governance orientation<br \/>\n\tStrong people management, analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement capability.<\/p>\n<p>Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nJob Specification<\/p>\n<p>\tManage and coordinate the end-to-end payroll process to ensure accurate, timely and compliant payroll execution.<br \/>\n\tManage end-to-end benefits administration, including retirement funds, insured benefits, medical aids, annual renewals, reconciliations, employee communication and service provider coordination.<br \/>\n\tSupport compensation and benefits administration through salary benchmarking, pay scale maintenance and alignment of remuneration practices to approved frameworks.<br \/>\n\tMaintain and improve HRIS platforms and related system processes, including payroll, HR administration, time and attendance, leave, access control and interface controls.<br \/>\n\tPrepare payroll budgets, monitor payroll cost trends, and provide relevant payroll and people cost information for planning and control purposes.<br \/>\n\tDevelop and maintain standard HR documentation, templates, workflow controls, document storage protocols and record management processes within area of responsibility.<br \/>\n\tDraft, review, and maintain policies, procedures, and process documentation within the area of responsibility.<br \/>\n\tManage and support the team within the function to deliver accurate, efficient, and service-orientated support to the business.<br \/>\n\tBuild and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, external service providers and statutory bodies relevant to the role.<br \/>\n\tApply governance, compliance and risk controls to payroll, remuneration, systems, and employee benefit processes.<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( N \/ A ) or<\/p>\n<p>macsteel.erecruit.co<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/macsteel.erecruit.co","_company_name":"Macsteel","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"We take a conservative trading approach that is focused on the fundamentals and structure of the trade, supported by an experienced back-office team that provides top-notch service through to trade completion.
