\tWe are seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Business Intelligence Developer to join our team in to help drive out Reporting and BI solutions. As a BI Developer, you will be responsible for the BI and Reporting solutions of a part of our global business. Collaborate with business analysts and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver innovative data-driven solutions. You will leverage your expertise in BI and Reporting to develop and implement ETL, reporting and dashboards solutions. If you are a seasoned BI practitioner with exceptional BI and reporting writing skills and have a proven track record of driving out optimized solutions, we want to hear from you.<\/p>\n
Competensies<\/p>\n
\tProficient in reporting writing tools such as SSRS, dashboarding tools like PowerBI.
\n\tSolid understanding of relational databases, Microsoft T-SQL.
\n\tSolid understanding of ETL processes.
\n\tUnderstanding of scheduling tools such as control-m.
\n\tFundamental understanding of basic warehouse concepts.
\n\tKnowledge and understanding of performance tuning of complex SQL queries.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Report solutioning<\/p>\n
\tWork with both Business Analysts and business owners to development new reports and dashboards and the enhancement of existing reports and dashboards.<\/p>\n
Performance tuning<\/p>\n
\tPerformance tuning of stored procedures and reports<\/p>\n
Production Support<\/p>\n
\tInvestigate production reporting issues and help business their understand their data.<\/p>\n
ETL Maintenance and Enhancements<\/p>\n
\tMaintaining and enhance current ETL processes using various ETL tools<\/p>\n
After Hours Standby Support<\/p>\n
\tBe on regular after-hour stand-by support for the data warehouse loads.<\/p>\n
Adherence to standards, processes and procedures<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that development standards and processes are followed according to Apex\u2019s best practices.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and requirements\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tA degree or diploma (3 years) with majors Information Systems or Computer Science.
\n\tA good working knowledge of IT systems in a corporate environment.
\n\tAt least 3-5 years of solid SQL Server development experience, with proficiency in report writing skills. \u00a0This includes but not limited to building complex stored procedures, functions, and views.\u00a0
\n\tAt least 5 years\u2019 experience in building integration solutions independently.
\n\tStrong attention to accuracy and detail.
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including an ability to work independently from the business analyst team when appropriate.
\n\tA high tolerance for ambiguity as requirements is not always clear at the start of a project and can change as users and analysts start to see the data.
\n\tSelf-starter who can take the initiative to learn new technologies independently and not just wait to be sent on training.
\n\tSolid time management and communication skills essential.
\n\tAbility to multi-task and to work on multiple project streams simultaneously.
\n\tHigh personal integrity.<\/p>\n

\tScheduling tools such as Control-m
\n\tExposure to cloud based BI and ETL solutions and services
