About the Role:<\/p>\n
\tOur client is seeking a Risk Analyst \/ Risk Manager to identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks across the organization. This role is responsible for developing risk models, monitoring exposures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and presenting actionable insights to leadership. The Risk Analyst ensures that businesses can operate confidently while minimizing exposure to financial loss, regulatory penalties, and reputational damage.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Risk Identification & Assessment:<\/p>\n
\tConduct enterprise-wide risk assessments covering credit, market, operational, and compliance categories.
\n\tDocument findings in risk registers and prioritize remediation.<\/p>\n
Modeling & Quantitative Analysis:<\/p>\n
\tBuild models in SAS, R, or Python to measure risk exposures.
\n\tPerform stress testing and scenario modeling (e.g., interest rate shocks, market downturns).
\n\tUse VaR, Monte Carlo, or regression methods to quantify potential losses.<\/p>\n
Compliance & Regulatory Reporting:<\/p>\n
\tMonitor adherence to frameworks such as SOX, Basel III, Dodd-Frank, PCI-DSS, GDPR, or HIPAA (depending on industry).
\n\tPrepare quarterly\/annual risk and compliance reports for regulators or auditors.
\n\tSupport external audits and regulatory exams with required documentation.<\/p>\n
Controls & Monitoring:<\/p>\n
\tTest and validate the effectiveness of internal controls.
\n\tTrack incidents in governance\/risk platforms (Archer GRC, ServiceNow, LogicManager).
\n\tPartner with IT\/security on cyber risk reviews and vendor risk assessments.<\/p>\n
Reporting & Communication:<\/p>\n
\tPrepare dashboards and reports in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to summarize exposures.
\n\tPresent risk findings and recommendations to executives and boards.
\n\tMaintain clear documentation for audit trails and governance committees.<\/p>\n
Collaboration:<\/p>\n
\tWork cross-functionally with finance, operations, IT, legal, and compliance teams.
\n\tSupport business units in embedding risk awareness into daily decisions.<\/p>\n

Required Experience & Skills (Minimum):<\/p>\n

\n\tHands-on experience with at least one GRC or risk platform (Archer, ServiceNow, LogicManager).
\n\tKnowledge of risk frameworks and regulatory requirements relevant to the client\u2019s industry.<\/p>\n
Ideal Experience & Skills:<\/p>\n
\tProfessional certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager), CFA, CPA, or CCEP.
\n\tFamiliarity with financial risk models (VaR, stress testing) and operational risk methodologies.
\n\tExperience in financial services, SaaS, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
\n\tBackground supporting board-level risk reporting<\/p>\n

A Risk Analyst \/ Manager\u2019s day revolves around measuring exposures, monitoring risks, and advising leadership.You will:<\/p>\n
\tStart by reviewing dashboards for anomalies in financial, operational, or compliance data.
\n\tRun models and stress tests to quantify exposures and validate assumptions.
\n\tUpdate the risk register with new findings, logging incidents or emerging risks.
\n\tCollaborate with business units to implement or test controls.
\n\tPrepare and deliver reports to executives or compliance committees.
\n\tDocument and track remediation actions, ensuring accountability across teams.
\n\tIn essence: you act as the early-warning system of the business, ensuring risks are identified, quantified, and mitigated before they can cause material harm.<\/p>\n
