Job Purpose<\/p>\n
\tResponsible of the site Logistics Engineering team. Design, develop and put in place solutions to improve logistic flows meeting Quality Cost Delivery Environment Health & Safety (QCDE) targets in compliance with regional priorities (regarding material flow, storage, packaging, warehousing, transport and respect of ERP rules).
\n\tApply the best core practices to improve Logistics operations. The position reports to Logistics Manager<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tCommunicate daily with suppliers sharing procurement plan & challenging suppliers\u2019 stock items Implement, manage standard packaging solutions (purchase, design, prototype, validation, \u2026) and monitor the budget follow-up.
\n\tApply solutions to protect parts during all logistic operations (transport, unloading, storage, line feeding
\n\tSave money & cash (calculate ROI Return On Investment, design standard packaging, reduce transport costs, \u2026) and make business case to justify any investment (returnable packaging, \u2026).
\n\tContribute with Regional Logistic Engineering to identify potential improvements in the whole value chain and capture the added value.
\n\tReduce work labor time in the warehouse (picking, kitting hours, \u2026) & in production.
\n\tImprove ergonomics at workstation (internal kitting trolley) and reduce waste packaging (zero unpacking).
\n\tManage the Project Supply Chain specifications and negotiate with the suppliers at site and project level.
\n\tDesign internal logistic processes and ensure that the parameters in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) are correct (stock strategy, Activity Based Costing ABC classification, \u2026).
\n\tPut in place actions to align physical flow and system flow and to improve the stock accuracy in compliance with the standard process.
\n\tDesign packaging solutions (define flow, calculate batch size, optimize packaging costs, calculate ROI and logistic loop, realize business case returnable vs lost packaging, \u2026).
\n\tManage packaging at all levels from business award to maintenance including purchase order and budget monitoring.
\n\tDefine warehouse layouts, its internal\/external flows and storage policy (define C-class storage management, create & implement mirror area, put in place visual management, Kanban flow, First In First Out, First Expired First Out, lean management, \u2026).
\n\tParticipate to ABC classification and contribute to C-Class* activity according to the standard rules in place.
\n\tParticipate with Project Supply Chain Leader (PrSCL) to the different Procurement Gates Review by negotiating terms of Project Supply Chain Specification
\n\tReduce logistic costs and make business case (optimize packaging & transport costs, analyze milk-run, calculate ROI realize business case returnable vs lost packaging, \u2026).
\n\tOptimize the line feeding (design standard kitting trolley, warehouse & production line footprint and sequencing, \u2026).
\n\tWork closely with industrialization or Process & Manufacturing Engineering (PME), material planning, warehouse, sourcing, manufacturing teams.
\n\tApply Environment Health & Safety requirements for logistic: packaging solutions \/ warehouse process optimization \/ waste reduction & management
\n\tManage logistics engineers and technicians: provide a long-term vision to the team, set yearly objectives and targets, support and coach in achieving these targets and objectives, perform performance appraisals, reward and recognize merits, set and follow up team members development plans and induction program for newcomers.
\n\tManage logistics engineers & aligned team members activities to the workload. To warn the Regional Logistics Engineering if the workload is temporary too high.
\n\tEnsure site logistics engineers and technicians follow Logistic processes<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma in Industrial Engineering or related qualification
\n\tSimilar experience of 5-8 years in an industrial\/manufacturing environment
\n\tExperience of mini 5 years in Team management\u00a0
\n\tAdvanced knowledge of SAP
\n\tProven project management experience<\/p>\n
Analytical<\/p>\n
\tSound knowledge of Industrial and Supply chain processes
\n\tProven industrial (labour) relations experience
\n\tExcellent and concise communication and leadership skills
