Role Purpose<\/p>\n
\tThe IT Business Analyst is responsible for analysing business needs, system requirements, and technical specifications to support the delivery of IT solutions.
\n\tThis role requires a highly technical BA with deep understanding of systems, integrations, databases, and application architecture.
\n\tThe BA will work closely with developers, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned to both business and technical objectives.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Requirements Gathering & Analysis<\/p>\n
\tConduct detailed business and technical requirements analysis.
\n\tTranslate business needs into functional and non-functional specifications.
\n\tAssess system gaps, dependencies, and integration requirements.
\n\tDocument process flows, data flows, use cases, and user stories.
\n\tFacilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder sessions.<\/p>\n
Technical Analysis<\/p>\n
\tCollaborate with architects and development teams to evaluate solution feasibility.
\n\tAnalyse APIs, integrations, data structures, and system interfaces.
\n\tReview technical documentation and ensure alignment across systems.
\n\tSupport the design of technical specifications and system configurations.
\n\tPerform SQL\/data analysis to validate requirements and support investigations.<\/p>\n
Solution Delivery & Support<\/p>\n
\tAssist with sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritisation.
\n\tSupport QA and UAT teams through requirements clarification and testing alignment.
\n\tReview test cases to ensure coverage of business rules and technical requirements.
\n\tParticipate in solution demonstrations and support deployments.
\n\tConduct impact assessments and change management reviews.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder & Project Engagement<\/p>\n
\tBridge communication between business users and technical teams.
\n\tProvide regular updates and documentation to project leads and PMO.
\n\tEnsure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
\n\tCollaborate with vendors, developers, testers, and product owners.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
\n\t8+ years experience as an IT Business Analyst.
\n\tStrong technical background with hands-on understanding of:
\n\tSystem architecture
\n\tAPIs & integrations
\n\tSQL \/ data analysis
\n\tSDLC methodologies
\n\tProven experience in Agile and\/or Waterfall environments.
\n\tExperience working on complex IT projects (e.g., digital platforms, ERP, cloud, custom applications).
\n\tExcellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.<\/p>\n
Preferred Skills & Certifications<\/p>\n
\tAgile BA certification an advantage.
\n\tExperience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Figma, or UML modelling tools.
\n\tCloud exposure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
\n\tTesting or QA experience beneficial.<\/p>\n
