\tResponsible to ensure that the production processes run reliably and efficiently to optimise production.
\n\tEfficiently manage resources available in order to optimise plant and truck utilisation, raw materials, human resources, and finances to supply the required products of high quality on time at a profit.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 with a recognised 3-year tertiary qualification. (Preferably Civil\/Mechanical\/Production\/Industrial Engineering)
\n\t5 years Civil\/Industrial industry experience, 3 years as a supervisor
\n\tComputer literacy \u2013 \u00a0MS Office
\n\tInterpersonal and human relation skills
\n\tCode EB Drivers License
\n\tAbility to work independently
\n\tManagement and supervisory skills
\n\tAccuracy and ability to give attention to detail
\n\tTarget and deadline driven.
\n\tExperience in working in a highly pressurized environment.
\n\tExperience in scheduling of maintenance work
\n\tExperience in shut down planning and execution
\n\tExperience in troubleshooting
\n\tLiterate in reading and interpreting engineering drawings (Preferable)<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnsure production process run reliably and efficiently to ensure optimal production.
\n\tManage and coordinate administration of the Plant and meet office administration deadlines.
\n\tManage and coordinate quality and maintenance of the plant and vehicles under his\/her control.
\n\tManage the training and development of staff on the operation under his\/her control.
\n\tManage the Industrial relations issues on the operations under his\/her control.
\n\tManage allocated budget and ensure that all budget constraints; re forecast requirements are adhered too.
\n\tManage and co-ordinate the Health, Safety and Quality programmes and issues on the operations under his\/her control.
\n\tManage and control materials and stock levels at the plant.
\n\tManage and co-ordinate production, administration, and maintenance.
\n\tEnsure that team members carry out cleaning, lubrication, and inspection.
\n\tCarry out daily and weekly Inspections\/checks related to stock and material control.
\n\tManage daily staff challenges and HR related matters.
\n\tEnsure daily short interval controls are done in accordance with the Company policy and procedure.
\n\tConduct performance reviews and regular one on one discussion with subordinates in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
\n\tManage and establish a safe and healthy environment.
\n\tManage and create a worker friendly workplace that will maintain high morale, integrity, and work ethics.
\n\tManage and ensure high levels of housekeeping.
\n\tPerform walk-about and inspections and action non-conformance.
\n\tCarry out continuous on-the-job training with subordinates and sub-contractors and keep training registers up to date.
\n\tEnsure all Company policies and procedures are in place and complied with.
\n\tEnsure that employees understand company policies and procedures by conducting regular reviews and short training intervals.
\n\tMaintain high levels of discipline in accordance with labour relations practices. Attend and conduct daily toolbox talks\/Invocoms meetings.
\n\tPrioritise and execute projects at the Plant.
\n\tMust work overtime from time to time.
\n\tMaintain good communication with Staff and Customers.
\n\tEnsure good communication with fellow employees and adhere to all set deadlines.
\n\tEnsure all documentation is handled with care and submitted to Office timeously<\/p>\n
