Purpose of Job<\/p>\n
\tControl debtors\u2019 accounts as per agreements and in adherence with credit management policies and procedures to minimise bad debts.<\/p>\n
Key Accountabilities<\/p>\n
\tManage debtors book according to established Accounts Receivables policies and procedures and agreed terms
\n\tFollow up on overdue accounts to reduce debtors\u2019 DSO and achieve set targets.
\n\tPrepare and submit reports on overdue and term accounts.
\n\tCollect bad debts in a timely manner and within agreed payment terms.
\n\tCarry out accurate reconciliation between customer and debtors accounts.
\n\tRelease orders for blocked accounts as per approvals and delegation of authority.
\n\tPrepare credit\/debit, refund, and rebates requests and attach relevant supporting documents.
\n\tAccurately allocate payments.
\n\tCommunicate with internal and external customers
\n\tHandle customer queries on invoices and maintain records on system. Assist internal and external auditors as needed.
\n\tComply to policies, credit legislation, International Accounting Standards (IAS), provisions of SOX control, relevant statutory requirements of IFRS, Companies Act, and NCA.
\n\tBuild and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable the achievement of effective debt collection and reduction of debtors\u2019 DSO.
\n\tContinuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals.<\/p>\n
