\tManage the oncology debtors\u2019 book to ensure effective financial control and revenue recovery.
\n\tMaintain the Age Analysis in line with collection targets and follow up on outstanding accounts.
\n\tSubmit, monitor, and follow up on medical aid claims within regulated timeframes.
\n\tInvestigate and resolve claim rejections, short payments, and discrepancies.
\n\tReconcile medical aid remittances and ensure accounts are accurately updated.
\n\tMonitor stale claims and escalate or resolve prior to write-off approvals.
\n\tProcess refund requisitions and ensure supporting documentation is accurate and complete.
\n\tProvide operational guidance to oncology ward clerks and billing staff to support compliance with credit control processes.
\n\tProvide hands-on operational support during peak periods to ensure deadlines and collection targets are achieved.
\n\tConduct spot-checks and audits to ensure account accuracy and adherence to billing requirements.
\n\tPrepare and maintain accurate\u00a0reporting of collection activities, administrative records and reports.
\n\tBuild and maintain professional relationships with medical aids, patients, and internal stakeholders.
\n\tEnsure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tA tertiary qualification will be advantageous
\n\tMinimum of five years\u2019 experience as an Oncology Administrator, with supervisory or team leadership exposure
\n\tProven ability to guide, develop, and motivate team members
\n\tSound knowledge and experience relating to debtors\u2019 administration and credit control in the private healthcare environment
\n\tUnderstanding of Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB) process, ICD-10, CPT codes, and hospital billing rules
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of the NHN Billings Guidelines, SAOC and ICON
\n\tStrong interpersonal, influencing, communication and problem-solving skills
\n\tExcellent attention to detail and accuracy
\n\tExcellent computer skills
\n\tAbility to work effectively within a team
\n\tAbility to work in a pressurised environment<\/p>\n
