PURPOSE<\/p>\n
\tThe aim is to oversee SHEQ Co-ordination within BU, compile combine, reports, and manage all safety aspects in order to deliver compliance towards internal and external environmental requirements. To create an environment where duties can be performed safely and risks are known and managed.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tPolicy, Targets, Objectives & Goals
\n\tEnsure that the current policies are displayed at all areas of the operation.
\n\tComply with the objectives, goals and targets set by the company.<\/p>\n
Legal Aspects\/Requirements<\/p>\n
\tEnsure company practices comply with legal and other requirements falling in the risk management domain.
\n\tGive on-going report on legislative and other amendments relevant to the risk domain and comply as required.
\n\tEnsure submissions of applicable statutory documents.<\/p>\n
Training<\/p>\n
\tAssist in managing training interventions to equip all employees to have the necessary skills to be competent to perform their roles with the least amount of risk possible.<\/p>\n
Risk Assessment<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that the necessary risk assessments and action plans are compiled, maintained and reviewed.<\/p>\n
Monitoring and Evaluation<\/p>\n
\tCompile necessary planning documents to effectively execute job requirements posed by the risk management domain.
\n\tRegularly perform risk audits as per requirements.<\/p>\n
Reporting, Recording and\/or Review<\/p>\n
\tSubmit monthly reports as required. Report all incidents to the responsible individuals as per company procedure.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\u00a0QUALIFICATION<\/p>\n
\tDegree in Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management.
\n\tSAMTRAC, COMSOC 1 and 2, ISO\u00a0 45001:2018 Implementation.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tAt least 3 years\u2019 experience in a mining & construction safety environment as a safety Officer or similar.
\n\tKnowledge of the OHS act, Mine Health and Safety Act.<\/p>\n
SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRE<\/p>\n
\tMust be an expert in safety orientation.
\n\tMust have an advanced understanding of legislation & policy orientated.\u00a0
\n\tMust have a good understanding of managing relationships.
\n\tMust have an advanced understanding communicating effectively.<\/p>\n
