The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:<\/p>\n
\tTranslate business information requirements into appropriate information collection requirements.\u00a0
\n\tIdentify, source, access and analyse appropriate information resources and services related to physical security.\u00a0
\n\tSatisfy information requirements by using available resources effectively and efficiently.\u00a0
\n\tDocument information products and package for distribution to stakeholders through structured reporting.\u00a0
\n\tConduct regular environmental scanning to provide early warnings.\u00a0
\n\tApply appropriate analytical techniques, methodologies and technologies to meet the objectives and goals of the analytical task.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:<\/p>\n
\ta Bachelors degree (NQF7) in Criminology, Security Risk Management, International Relations, Politics or a related discipline;
\n\tspecialist training in intelligence analysis and\/or completed risk analysis;
\n\tfive to eight years\u2019 experience in a law enforcement, intelligence and\/or security environment with a strong liaison and coordination capability;
\n\tthree years\u2019 experience in intelligence and\/or security risk analysis.
\n\tstrong knowledge and experience in security technology and practices across different security disciplines; and
\n\tknowledge of standard software analytical tools and exposure to electronic database systems.<\/p>\n
