The purpose of this position is to support the accounts receivable department with handling invoices, credit\/debit notes, and charges. Responsibilities also include credit checks, trade references, and maintaining master files. The role involves reconciling accounts, processing receipts, and collecting overdue payments. The position requires a team player with strong analytical and numerical skills. This position will be based in Paarden Eiland and will report directly to the Accounts Receivable Controller.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas:<\/p>\n
\tGenerating accurate invoices and statements
\n\tProcessing debit and credit notes, as well as additional charges
\n\tPerforming credit checks and basic bank verifications
\n\tMaintaining customer accounts, including rates, contracts, and master data
\n\tHandling high volumes of invoicing and transactions efficiently
\n\tBanking and processing receipts
\n\tFollowing up and collecting overdue payments
\n\tReconciling customer accounts and resolving discrepancies
\n\tAssisting with inter-company reconciliations
\n\tMaintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records
\n\tIdentifying and resolving billing discrepancies with strong attention to detail
\n\tAdapting quickly to new billing systems and processes
\n\tSupporting the Debtors department with ad hoc duties as required<\/p>\n
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 with a minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in a Billing Clerk \/ Debtors role
\n\tExtensive billing experience (essential)
\n\tHands-on invoicing and accounts receivable experience (essential)
\n\tStrong Excel skills (essential)
\n\tSAP experience required
\n\tExperience with Accellos and SAGE X3 advantageous
\n\tAbility to manage high volumes of transactions accurately
\n\tStrong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies
\n\tAbility to work independently and within a team
\n\tStrong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
\n\tAbility to adapt quickly to new systems and environments<\/p>\n
