Purpose of Job<\/p>\n
\tTo supervise all aspects of shift\/plant operations to ensure performance targets are achieved in compliance with safety policies.
\n\tTo supervise housekeeping of work area and identify workplace hazards and risks to ensure that mining operations are done in a correct and safe manner.<\/p>\n
Key Accountabilities<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that work standards are met according to quantity and due dates.
\n\tEnsure that work standards are met according to quality standards & compliance
\n\tShift inspections, Daily inspections on equipment.
\n\tAwareness, focus and control of cost \/ budget.
\n\tPOLC (planning, organizing, lead and Control.).
\n\tOptimizes and control resources effectively.
\n\tGeneral housekeeping and cleaning. (keys ; General site work)
\n\tRod handling.
\n\tCement and betonies mixing.
\n\tSpares order for site.
\n\tAssist driller in control room.
\n\tWriting shift report.
\n\tAssist the driller plotting and updating the driller and geology map.
\n\tOperating the machine by tripping in and out of the hole
\n\tMust be able to take over responsibility from the driller from time to time.
\n\tServe as the Snr Drilling Assistant.
\n\tMust be able to make his own decisions.
\n\tSpecific Kips as agreed to in the business unit.
\n\tSupport the drilling superintendent in his duties and take over from him time to time.
\n\tSite establishment and rehabilitation.
\n\tInspection service provider rigs.
\n\tWriting month end report.
\n\tManage others.
\n\tAchieve safety and risk objectives.
\n\tAs per legal and SHE requirements (QCDSM and specific Kips agreed upon in the business unit.).
