\tThe purpose of this role is to ensure that all construction, forestry and agricultural equipment is repaired and maintained. Supervision, planing and assistance to Technicians in their duties. Planning and execution of all workshop functions. Managing workshop to control costs and increase profit in department.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION\/TRAINING\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tQualified Mechanisation Technician<\/p>\n
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\t5 years experience as a qualified mechanisation technician of which 3 years must be John Deere experience<\/p>\n
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tSupervise all workshop activities including scheduling and controlling work processing
\n\tIdentify, investigate and resolve all workshop related problems
\n\tMaintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations\u00a0
\n\tEnsure protective equipment is used as prescribed
\n\tBuild and maintain good customer relationships and ensure that customer queries and complaints are resolved within the prescribed turnaround time
\n\tHandle all warranty claims and ensure credits are received
\n\tOversee scheduling and control working hours and ensure that the status of job cards is updated
\n\tEnsure control of tools and workshop equipment
\n\tReport on activities as required by management
\n\tEnforce and monitor budget control
\n\tManage employee key performance areas, monitor performance standards, identify\u00a0training and development requirements, and ensure fair disciplinary action to address deviations<\/p>\n
