Key Roles and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
SPECIALIST ANALYSIS<\/p>\n
\tCarry out specialised micro analysis according to standard and the minimum micro sampling plan. Ensure traceability of results and record on appropriate information systems.
\n\tCommunicate results clearly and timeously to production teams and stakeholders.
\n\tConduct ad hoc analysis to assist with problem solving.
\n\tProvide production with good quality, yeast for propagation free of contaminants.
\n\tManagement and execution of basic maintenance and calibration schedules on test equipment<\/p>\n
QUALITY AUDITING<\/p>\n
\tConduct required and requested quality audits, completing the appropriate documentation and communicating the results.
\n\tReview quality analysis procedures for updates when required.
\n\tWhere required, initiate corrective actions to close gaps generated by audits.<\/p>\n
PROBLEM SOLVING<\/p>\n
\tSupport production teams in problem solving by providing specialist knowledge on micro sampling and techniques.
\n\tLead, facilitate or take part in problem solving sessions as a functional expert when required.<\/p>\n
TRAINING<\/p>\n
\tAssist in training, coaching and mentoring of plant personnel on good hygiene practices.
\n\tTake part in the development of training material.
\n\tComplete the competency guide for the micro lab technician role.<\/p>\n
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT<\/p>\n
\tCarry out specialized analyses in support of the evaluation of continuous improvement opportunities.
\n\tWhere required, take part in team evaluations of continuous improvement opportunities.
\n\tTake part in regional and divisional process optimisation initiatives as required.
\n\tDrive the Quality VPO through adhering to the minimum micro sampling plan and standards.
\n\tSupport the production teams with problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
\n\tTraceability of samples and accuracy results when reporting to production teams.
\n\tEffectively communicating with all levels of the business and follow up when necessary.
\n\tWorking timeously and managing individual workloads effectively to ensure sample frequencies are met.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMicrobiology\/Bio-Chemistry\u00a0Diploma\/degree
\n\tBiotechnology Diploma\/degree
\n\tFood Technology Diploma\/degree
\n\t2 Years experience in the Food Industry and in a micro laboratory environment is ideal
\n\tPackaging and\/or Brewing experience is preferable
\n\tKnowledge of SAP PDM, Microsoft Office packages and LIMS will be an advantage
\n\tMay be called on to work overtime as required
\n\tDemonstrate Good Lab Practices and adherence to housekeeping (5S), health and safety standards
\n\tLive by the\u00a0ABInBev\u00a0principles to drive and ensure compliance to the Quality VPO pillar<\/p>\n
