\tDis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Trainee Manager for Goldfields store. You will Learn overall store operations under direction and supervision of a store manager. Performs wide range of retail operational duties under general guidance and support of an experienced individual.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u2026<\/p>\n
Essential:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12\/ Matric
\n\tMinimum of 1 – 2 years\u2019 experience in store retail management disciplines including but limited to stock management, cash, reporting, expense control and customer service
\n\tComputer literate \u2013 MS Office
\n\tWilling and able to work retail hours
\n\tValid driver’s license
\n\tOwn reliable transport<\/p>\n
Advantageous:<\/p>\n
\tDiploma in Financial \/ Admin or a relevant 3- year Diploma<\/p>\n
Job Specification\u2026<\/p>\n
Inventory Management:<\/p>\n
\tEnsures the processing of items including but not limited to goods in transit, cycle counts and physical stock to system matches, stock takes, addressing of shrinkage and overall stock levels.
\n\tEnsures efficient stock flow to the sales floor.
\n\tParticipate, assist, and support in the management of shrinkage. Participate, assist and support in the ordering of stock to maintain correct stock levels FMCG, Health and Beauty, when required.<\/p>\n
Sales Floor & Receiving:<\/p>\n
\tAssist with the planning, implementation, and maintenance of promotional stock displays in FMCG, Health and Beauty. Store Manager
\n\tAssist with the adherence, implementation and maintenance of labeling, pricing and layout standards in FMCG, Health and Beauty.
\n\tAssist with goods receiving duties guided by the standard operating procedures.
\n\tParticipates in the delivery of transaction integrity for incoming goods receipts and outgoing returns guided by the company internal control procedures.
\n\tAssist with reconciliation of daily ZMove Packs in accordance with Receiving policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
Sales Targets:<\/p>\n
\tAssists with achieving set store sales targets, including but not limited to FMCG, Health and Beauty.
\n\tPartner with all head of departments to ensure targets are met.
\n\tSupport management to ensure promotions are effectively executed.
\n\tAssist management to coordinate with other stores to share knowledge, plan promotional activities, or achieve goals.
\n\tMaintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
\n\tSupport management to determine all profit and sales objectives and propose strategies to maintain inventory levels and manage all work guided by the store policies and procedures.
\n\tPropose innovative ideas to senior management to increase market share.
\n\tAssist in the development of regional retail strategies to raise customers\u2019 pool, expand store traffic, and optimize profitability in FMCG, Health and Beauty.<\/p>\n
Point of Sale Operations and Finance:<\/p>\n
\tAssist with daily cash-ups and review of the reconciliation\u2019s packs and paperwork.
\n\tAssist with the efficient scheduling of the point-of-sale area to maintain efficient service standards.
\n\tAssist with the monitoring of the store expenses as well as stock adjustments to the correct GL accounts.
\n\tSupport in analyzing and interpreting Financial Income statements.
\n\tAssist in ensuring all expense (ordering and monitoring) related items are controlled and managed within budget.
\n\tSupport management with transaction integrity throughout the store guided by company internal control procedures.
\n\tSupport in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of branch transactions.
\n\tSupport management to improve cashier service levels and cashier productivity rates.
\n\tAssist with controlling overtime and casual spend.
\n\tAssist with sign off and investigation of run ends daily.
\n\tSupport management to disseminate, collate, and report all relevant information between store and department managers.
\n\tAssist in any internal or external audits conducted in store.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Customer Service:<\/p>\n
\tAssist with addressing customer complaints promptly and regulate both complaints and compliments.
\n\tAssist with the ensuring that customer request system is operational and actioned daily.
\n\tEncourage and report on new loyalty signups continuously.
\n\tAssist with the ensuring of accurate manual processing of points to customer accounts.
\n\tAssist with providing customers with feedback regarding queries and complaints.<\/p>\n
HR Process Support:<\/p>\n
\tAssist with people administration duties, including but not limited to leave management, scheduling, and staff file management.
\n\tFacilitate human resource processes, submissions, and documentation for the store in compliance with standard operating procedures.
\n\tAccount for the execution and transaction on the workforce management system (KRONOS) within the store. This includes but not limited to master data and transactional management.
\n\tAssist the store with the delivery of HR policies and system implementations.
\n\tSupport management to ensure employees receive training where necessary and collate feedback from employees on training sessions attended.<\/p>\n
Trainee Programme Adherence:<\/p>\n
\tParticipate and engage in meetings, workshops, and other learning opportunities.
\n\tAssist managers and completing assigned tasks for on the job learning purposes.
\n\tCompletion of all required learning programs and assessments to be deemed competent.
\n\tEnsure Portfolio of Evidence is filed and kept up to date and ensure sign off with Regional Admin Manager.<\/p>\n
