The role will be based in Randfontein and will report into the QA &amp; Food Safety Manager.<br \/>\n\tThe incumbent will be responsible for managing the daily QA activities of bakeries and to support the achievement of agreed Quality and Food Safety goals and objectives. Enforce compliance to company policies and procedures relevant to the maintenance of third party and customer standards. The Senior QAT will be expected to act as QA &amp; FS Manager when needed.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tMust have a Degree in B.Sc. Consumer Science\/Food Science\/BTech Food Technology.<br \/>\n\t5 years+ experience in food safety and QA.<br \/>\n\tMust have experience in ISO 22000 implementation\/FSSC 22000 and be a Lead Auditor.<br \/>\n\tExperience in ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, QMS and HACCP programmes.<br \/>\n\tComputer literate \u2013 MS Office package.<br \/>\n\tLegislative process experience.<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge and Skill:<\/p>\n<p>\tProven knowledge and experience of scientific testing techniques.<br \/>\n\tAbility to interpret results of analytical and microbiological testing.<br \/>\n\tGood written and verbal communication \u2013 ability to deal with both suppliers and customers.<br \/>\n\tGood numerical skills.<br \/>\n\tGood Interpersonal skills \u2013 able to work and communicate at all levels throughout the business.<br \/>\n\tAbility to work well as part of a team as well as under own initiative.<br \/>\n\tProven Leadership skills.<br \/>\n\tWilling and capable of learning new skills.<br \/>\n\tBe willing to travel across different sites, must have own car.<\/p>\n<p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tManage all activities related to Quality and Food Safety at sites.<br \/>\n\tImplementation and maintenance of FSSC 22000.<br \/>\n\tImplementation and maintenance of Quality Management System.<br \/>\n\tImplement and maintenance of COE directives.<br \/>\n\tImplementation and maintenance of customer requirements.<br \/>\n\tManaging of suppliers.<br \/>\n\tManaging external service providers (Pest Control, Cleaning, PPE, etc).<br \/>\n\tEnsure final product quality and safety standards are adhered to.<br \/>\n\tSupport QAT\u2019s in management of Food Safety Teams<br \/>\n\tSupport QAT\u2019s in conducting Food Safety, Quality and Management review meetings.<br \/>\n\tEnsure all labour, testing, consumable and equipment maintenance costs remain within budget.<br \/>\n\tEffective control of non-conforming product.<br \/>\n\tManage daily activity of direct reports but not restricted to; task assignment, leave scheduling, initial approval of overtime, purchasing, efficient deployment of resources and initial contact for disciplinary issues.<br \/>\n\tManage the training, development, and performance of direct reports.<\/p>\n<p>Quality Assurance (but not limited to):<\/p>\n<p>\tTo implement and maintain relevant Quality Management systems including customer requirements.<br \/>\n\tTo manage all activities related to QMS, Customer requirements and relevant interested third party.<br \/>\n\tTo manage all activities related to releasing of final and raw products. external testing.<br \/>\n\tTo identify relevant national legislation relevant to Baking business and implement effectively.<br \/>\n\tEnsure the implementation and application of the appropriate policies, procedures, test methods (PRP\u2019S, QMS) to achieve and maintain third party and customer standards.<br \/>\n\tTo drive activities related to resolving the Non-conformance issues to support the reduction of Inventory costs.<br \/>\n\tTo provide technical support to resolve customer complaints and implement corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.<br \/>\n\tTo support the manufacturing, Quality, and supply Chain Teams by providing feedback on factors adversely affecting product quality or manufacturing efficiency and investigating the root cause of these issues.<\/p>\n<p>Food Safety (but not limited to):<\/p>\n<p>\tImplement and maintain Food Safety systems based on FSSC 22000 and Customer requirements (general and formal trade).<br \/>\n\tIdentify relevant food safety team members and appoint them where necessary.<br \/>\n\tManage the training needs of Food Safety Team Members.<br \/>\n\tTo ensure adherence to monthly food safety, Quality, and annual management review meetings program.
