\tMaintain accurate and up-to-date safety files
\n\tEnsure all legal and site-specific documents comply with the Mine Health and Safety Act
\n\tManage document filing systems (physical and electronic)
\n\tUpdating the safety daily report of accidents
\n\tUpdating the monthly stats
\n\tUpdating the safety officer\u2019s yearly inspection tracker
\n\tMan hours for safety stats
\n\tCompiling a weekly report of outstanding actions to the Mine Manager
\n\tCapturing of PTO\u2019S, fire drills and stop notes
\n\tCompiling of all SR\u2019s and PR\u2019s on Dynamics
\n\tCompiling and controlling of all appointments
\n\tAssisting all safety officers with all SHEQ related requirements
\n\tRetain confidential documentation
\n\tCapture incidents, accidents, and near-misses
\n\tSupport investigation documentation and reporting
\n\tEnsure compliance with requirements from the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy
\n\tMaintain audit-ready documentation at all times
\n\tDistribute safety alerts and notices
\n\tSupport safety campaigns and awareness programs
\n\tPrepare documentation for internal and external audits
\n\tTrack and close out audit findings
\n\tEnsure all employees are compliant before accessing site
\n\tMonitor PPE records and issuance<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 Certificate or equivalent
\n\tSafety-related qualification (e.g., SAMTRAC, Introduction to Mining Safety \u2013 advantageous)
\n\tMinimum 1 to 3 years administrative experience (mining or heavy industry preferred)
\n\tKnowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act and mine safety regulations
\n\tComputer Literacy (MS Office and associated software)
\n\tExperience working with SHEQ systems (advantageous)
\n\tAbility to communicate with people on different levels
\n\tAttention to detail and able to multi-task; able to prioritize responsibilities appropriately
\n\tValid Certificate of physical fitness<\/p>\n
