Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Sampling & Fieldwork<\/p>\n
\tIndependently plan, schedule, and execute sampling routes to meet operational and client requirements.
\n\tConduct sampling activities in strict accordance with relevant regulatory, industry, and company procedures.
\n\tEnsure correct handling, labeling, preservation, and transportation of samples to maintain sample integrity to the laboratory.
\n\tMaintain and prepare sampling equipment, ensuring it is available, calibrated, clean, and fit for purpose prior to use.<\/p>\n
Client Engagement<\/p>\n
\tEngage professionally with clients on-site, explaining sampling processes and addressing queries where required.
\n\tMaintain positive working relationships with clients while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.<\/p>\n
Documentation & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tAccurately complete all required field and laboratory documentation to support traceability, compliance, and timeous testing.
\n\tEnsure records are submitted promptly and in line with quality management system requirements.
\n\tKeep abreast of changes in relevant legislation, standards, and regulatory requirements impacting sampling and testing activities.<\/p>\n
Laboratory Analysis<\/p>\n
\tPerform analysis of samples in accordance with approved laboratory methods, procedures, and quality standards.
\n\tAdhere to laboratory safety, quality control, and accreditation requirements at all times.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tRelevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field\u00a0(Diploma or Degree).
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license (where field-based sampling is required).<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tExperience in field sampling and\/or laboratory analysis within a regulated environment preferred.
\n\tExperience working with regulatory standards (e.g., environmental, water, food, health, or laboratory regulations) is an advantage.<\/p>\n
