FOR APPOINTMENT AT THE LEVEL OF SENIOR LECTURER<\/p>\n
\tThe candidate must hold a Doctoral degree in General or Applied Linguistics, with at least five years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution or seven years of relevant professional experience.
\n\tMust have a minimum of five publications in accredited journals.
\n\tA strong theoretical background in Linguistics is essential. Must possess strong administrative and workload management skills and the ability to deliver engaging and inspiring instruction.<\/p>\n
FOR APPOINTMENT AT THE LEVEL OF LECTURER<\/p>\n
\tThe candidate must hold a Master of Arts degree in General or Applied Linguistics, with at least three years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution or five years of relevant professional experience.
\n\tA strong theoretical foundation in Linguistics is essential.
\n\tPublications in accredited journals will be an added advantage.
\n\tThe candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage workload effectively, possess strong administrative skills, and deliver engaging and inspiring instruction.<\/p>\n
DUTIES<\/p>\n
\tTeach, develop, and review curriculum and modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels to ensure academic excellence and relevance.
\n\tSupervise Honours, Master\u2019s, and PhD students, providing academic guidance, research mentorship, and scholarly support.
\n\tParticipate actively in research activities, contribute to scholarly output, and support the research agenda of the department and university.
\n\tEngage in community engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with the institutional vision for societal impact and stakeholder collaboration.
\n\tContribute to the attainment of the university\u2019s strategic objectives through teaching, research, innovation, community engagement, and academic citizenship.<\/p>\n
