Role Overview<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking an experienced Mobile Architect to join our Johannesburg-based team. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for defining, designing, and governing mobile application architectures that are scalable, secure, and aligned to business objectives.
\n\tThe successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to guide mobile development best practices, ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems, and drive innovation through emerging mobile and cloud technologies.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDesign and define end-to-end mobile application architectures (iOS, Android, cross-platform).
\n\tEnsure mobile solutions are scalable, secure, and high-performing.
\n\tOversee integration of mobile applications with enterprise back-end systems, APIs, and cloud platforms.
\n\tProvide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development teams.
\n\tCollaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, DevOps, and integration teams.
\n\tDefine and enforce mobile development standards, patterns, and best practices.
\n\tAlign mobile architecture with business objectives, enterprise architecture, and security standards.
\n\tStay current with emerging mobile, cloud, and security technologies and recommend improvements.
\n\tSupport Agile delivery, CI\/CD pipelines, and continuous improvement initiatives.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tProven experience in mobile development and mobile solution architecture.
\n\tStrong hands-on knowledge of React Native, Kotlin, Swift, or similar mobile frameworks.
\n\tSolid understanding of cloud platforms and architectures, particularly AWS.
\n\tExperience with Kubernetes, DevOps practices, and CI\/CD pipelines.
\n\tStrong background in systems integration, identity management, and data integration.
\n\tExperience with integration technologies such as WSO2, IBM platforms, Apache Camel.
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with architectural-level thinking.
\n\tExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
\n\tBachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.<\/p>\n
Advantageous \/ Nice-to-Have<\/p>\n
\tExperience working in Agile\/Scrum environments.
\n\tExposure to continuous delivery and automation.
\n\tKnowledge of mobile security architecture, secure authentication, and data protection practices.
\n\tExperience in enterprise-scale or highly regulated environments.<\/p>\n
