Job Description:<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a Technical Support and Installation Technician based in Paarl to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, perform broadband installations and ensure all technical systems run smoothly and efficiently.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tManage the helpdesk and provide professional technical support to customers.
\n\tSet up and update new customer systems.
\n\tMaintain and update UNMS devices daily.
\n\tPerform stock control and track field inventory.
\n\tRecord installations and repairs on Google Calendar\/OneNote.
\n\tStay current with broadband technology developments.
\n\tConduct on-site service calls safely and responsibly.
\n\tMaintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
\n\tProvide clear instructions to customers on using routers and services.
\n\tTest and troubleshoot equipment and infrastructure issues.
\n\tRemove or replace equipment after service cancellations or changes.
\n\tConduct site surveys for potential customers.
\n\tFollow health and safety regulations and conduct weekly tool talks.
\n\tCollaborate with team members and assist management with ad hoc tasks.<\/p>\n
Basic Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tValid driver\u2019s license.
\n\tProven experience in broadband, networking, or technical support.
\n\tGood understanding of routers, wireless technology and internet systems.
\n\tStrong communication and problem-solving skills.
\n\tAbility to work independently and in a team.
\n\tPhysically capable of climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.\u00a0<\/p>\n
