Job Summary<\/p>\n
\tThis role involves supporting grain intake, grading, and dispatch operations while undergoing on-the-job training to become a fully qualified Grain Grader. The trainee will assist with quality control, administrative tasks, and operational processes to ensure that grain handling complies with industry standards, food safety requirements, and company procedures.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities and Duties<\/p>\n
\tAssist with raw material handling during grain intake and dispatch
\n\tSupport grain grading activities under supervision
\n\tAssist with weighbridge operations and record keeping
\n\tMaintain hygiene, infestation control, and cleanliness standards
\n\tSupport Quality Management Systems and food safety practices
\n\tPerform basic administrative duties, including filing and data capturing
\n\tEnsure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations
\n\tCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team members
\n\tWilling and able to work shifts and overtime when required<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Skills<\/p>\n
\tMatric \/ Grade 12
\n\tDriver\u2019s License (Code 8)
\n\tComputer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
\n\tBasic administrative skills, including filing and record management
\n\tAbility to communicate effectively with customers and farmers
\n\tWillingness to work overtime as required
\n\tWillingness to complete a Grain Grader Course
\n\tAbility to work in a grain-handling environment (dust, heights, confined spaces)
\n\tStrong attention to detail and willingness to learn<\/p>\n
