\tThe purpose of this role is to provide complete security management for Lactalis companies in South Africa, Botswana, eSwatini, Mozambique and Zambia (Lactalis Southern Africa Zone) including the safety of these companies\u2019 personnel, visitors, buildings, information and other assets. The role will be based at our Head office in Stellenbosch<\/p>\n
Required Skills\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAn appropriate 3-year Bachelor\u2019s Degree or National Diploma in Security Management or equivalent qualification
\n\tAt least 5-7 years Security Management experience within an FMCG environment (i.e. Factory and Distribution Centre)
\n\tRegistration with the South African Institute of Security
\n\tPSIRA Grade A-registered and accredited
\n\tClear criminal record
\n\tAttention to detail with proven investigative experience
\n\tAbility to travel to the AA counties
\n\tPrevious working experience with local law enforcement authorities
\n\tExceptional communication skills at all levels of the business
\n\tAbility to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders of the business and across all departments<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nMain Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n
\tCo-ordination, management, supervision, and advice to sites\u2019 Senior Management on effective security management systems and solutions, within the business scope.
\n\tEnsure that threats to personnel, assets, and business operations\/activities within each site are properly identified, evaluated and mitigated in a timely and cost-effective manner.
\n\tSecure Lactalis Southern Africa\u2019s personnel, properties and assets from internal and external security breaches as well as co-ordinate the activities of 3rd Party Security Contractors.
\n\tEnsure a hands-on ownership of security solutions within Lactalis Southern Africa Zone operations across all sites
\n\tSupport an effective Zone Control Room that is geared for both monitoring as well as Incident response.
\n\tSupport the Head of Legal and the Country Managers in driving Cluster Security Initiatives.
\n\tDrive standardization across all sites
\n\tEnsure compliance with Lactalis Southern Africa Zone Site Security Standards<\/p>\n
Key Accountabilities<\/p>\n
\tAdvise management on any specific threats to company personnel, assets & information, and business operations\/activities as they become known.
\n\tEnsuring implementation of security policy, approved security plans and procedures and revising them where necessary.
\n\tIn conjunction with the respective business Leadership Teams, develop and implement security awareness programs or processes and to protect life, corporate assets and to ensure business continuity.
\n\tDevising and coordinating appropriate security training for security personnel & other nominated personnel
\n\tEstablish an anti-counterfeiting programmed for the Zone
\n\tManaging effective investigations on detected and reported breaches of security and security incidents.
\n\tProvide briefings for the international staff\/visitors on in country security issues on arrival and on the security situation in the province.
\n\tAdvise on the development and strategy for technical projects involving the sites, including security technology, equipment requirements and simplification processes
\n\tSupport leadership\u2019s response to business disruptions and crisis situations
\n\tInitiate and co-ordinate an immediate response to security incidents where there is a threat to Company employees and assets to ensure minimized loss or injury. If necessary, to respond personally to these threats.
\n\tEnsure safety and security of employees whilst on Company premises
\n\tReport all incidents to respective stakeholders
\n\tLiaise with and develop relationships with various Law Enforcement & Emergency Services in the event of a security incident\/emergency (i.e., fire, medical, mechanical breakdown) and to ensure timely reaction to incidents
\n\tEnsure availability of highly trained security personnel to implement contingency plans effectively.
\n\tEnsuring security reports are submitted on time.
\n\tManage and transact on all mandatory reporting systems
\n\tParticipate and guide security associated committee on their functions and focus areas
\n\tManage constant synergy between business controls and security controls so that internal loss threats, are effectively mitigated.
\n\tEffectively audit, maintain and guide contracted security service providers in terms of fit for purpose performance and adherence\/compliance with agreed SLA\u2019s.
\n\tManage the key focus areas as per Group Security Directives inclusive of protection and securing of personnel, assets, and processes.
\n\tEnsure the execution of the approved Site Security Plans<\/p>\n
