In this role you will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
\tReconcile operational raw material receipts and transporter records to supplier invoiced loads and the general ledger; reconcile supplier statements to actual payments.
\n\tInvestigate and resolve discrepancies between supplier invoices and operational records.
\n\tControl and reconcile intercompany accounts, including balancing and clearing items.
\n\tSupport fixed asset administration, general financial accounting and tax-related tasks (including VAT returns).
\n\tForecast and schedule raw material creditor payments, including foreign creditor clearance where applicable.
\n\tPerform monthly checks, reconciliations and balancing of financial records (GL balancing, variance analysis and reporting).
\n\tProcess sundry supplier payments and manage sundry debtor control processes.
\n\tClear and control GR\/IR (Goods Receipt\/Invoice Receipt) items and report on status.
\n\tPrepare and respond to audit queries and support audit information requests.<\/p>\n
About you:<\/p>\n
\tHigher Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Accounting Sciences or equivalent (NQF 6).
\n\tAt least 3 years\u2019 experience in an administrative\/accounting environment covering debtors, creditors, general ledger and financial statements.
\n\tGood understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
\n\tProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and comfortable with accounting systems.
\n\tExperience with SAP S\/4HANA and Coupa.
\n\tAbility to work independently, manage priorities and perform under pressure.
\n\tPrevious experience in mining, smelting or heavy manufacturing environments
\n\tPrior exposure to raw material reconciliations, VAT returns and GR\/IR clearing.
\n\tStrong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
\n\tAbility to work independently and under pressure<\/p>\n
