Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDeliver electrical engineering services for mining projects across surface and underground operations, mineral processing plants, bulk materials handling facilities, and supporting infrastructure
\n\tProvide electrical engineering input across the full project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility studies through detailed design, execution, commissioning, and operational handover
\n\tEnsure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved scope
\n\tLead and manage all electrical engineering aspects of projects, appropriate to project size and risk profile
\n\tDefine electrical project scopes, set milestones, allocate responsibilities, and track progress against schedules and budgets
\n\tIdentify, manage, and mitigate technical and project risks associated with electrical systems
\n\tReport project progress, risks, and performance to senior management and clients
\n\tCoordinate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure integrated solutions
\n\tLiaise with operations teams, OEMs, contractors, and mine owners to deliver practical and robust designs suited to harsh mining environments
\n\tLead electrical designs in compliance with mining legislation, statutory requirements, client standards, and relevant national and international electrical codes
\n\tDesign mine power supply systems, including substations and medium- and low-voltage reticulation
\n\tDevelop renewable, hybrid power systems, backup generation, and power quality solutions
\n\tPrepare accurate project cost estimates, system performance calculations, and lifecycle assessments
\n\tApply sound engineering judgment and best practices to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation over the life of mine<\/p>\n

\tBEng\/BSc\/BTech Electrical Engineering
\n\tProfessionally Registration with ECSA<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\tExperience in various power project development phases, as well as various types of developments
\n\tAccredited four (4)\u2011year degree or global equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
\n\tMinimum of twelve (12) years of relevant work experience in electrical and\/or instrumentation engineering within mining, heavy industrial, or process plant environments.
\n\tRecognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field (as required by location).
\n\tStrong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with management, colleagues, clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
\n\tAbility to understand and apply applicable local, regional, and national electrical codes, instrumentation standards, and engineering regulations.
\n\tHigh attention to detail with the ability to work effectively under time pressure.<\/p>\n
