\tVisa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. \u00a0VCA’s core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments.
\n\tWithin VCA exists VCA Implementation Services (VIS), a hands-on execution partner, implementing, operating, and optimizing Visa products in client environments to accelerate activation, portfolio growth, risk control, and data-driven performance.
\n\tThe Visa Implementation Services (VIS) Consulting Director will be a key member of the Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) organization, working across Southern Eastern Africa and Western Central Africa and will contribute to the commercial traction, client delivery, business development, product development and thought leadership with the VIS practice areas. The role will also deliver subject matter expertise and consulting support to VISA’s key clients across the subregions. The main objective of the role is to define and execute against VIS\u2019s mandate, further deepening client relationships and optimizing client performance<\/p>\n
Principal Responsibilities\/Key Results Area<\/p>\n
\tLead and\/or serve as a subject matter expert on consulting engagements across practice areas (portfolio, digital, risk) including but not limited to the following,
\n\tUsing VISA and external data to analyze client needs across the focus markets and identify opportunities for VIS assignments with VISA\u2019s key clients
\n\tLead, Support and contribute to sales pitches for VIS
\n\tLead and contribute to internal problem-solving sessions
\n\tPrepare for, and participate in, client discussions
\n\tLead project deliveries in both coordination and delivery role
\n\tStandup and manage large VCA programs for Pan African clients focused on VIS workstreams
\n\tWork closely with other VISA groups, including Products, BD, Risk, Marketing, Digital Solutions, etc., to ensure a seamless Consulting experience
\n\tDevelop VIS\u2019s offering and tailored solutions in line with client needs by proactively identifying collaboration opportunities and developing integrated go-to-market strategies in partnership with internal stakeholders (e.g., Value-Added Services, Client Services, etc.) to drive unified business objective
\n\tCollaborate with VCA colleagues, Visa account executives and other Visa functions to define focus areas, and cultivate and manage a pipeline of engagement opportunities
\n\tThis is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Basic Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\t10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters\/ MBA\/JD\/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD<\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\t12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
\n\t15+ years of experience in consulting and implementation support with Financial institutes, merchants, and\/or government
\n\tdepth understanding of card operations and portfolio management
\n\tCombination of regional and global experience is also desired
\n\tSuperior project management skills. Fluent communicator
\n\tDiplomatic skills to work in a multi-functional environment and ability to extract desired outcomes.
\n\tComfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients and VISA
\n\tHighly analytical with advanced PowerPoint skills and Excel skills
\n\tResults driven, flexible and both internally and externally customer focused
\n\tAble to travel frequently and work on client site
\n\tSelf-motivated and able to use own initiative with limited direction
\n\tStrong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with inter-disciplinary groups<\/p>\n
