About the role:<\/p>\n
\tAs the Manager: Data Science\/AI at Capitec, you will lead the bank\u2019s AI and advanced analytics initiatives, driving innovation and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Your role will focus on defining and implementing a forward-thinking AI strategy while fostering a high-performing team of data scientists to deliver impactful AI\/ML solutions aligned with business objectives.
\n\tYou will be at the forefront of identifying AI-driven opportunities, overseeing the development and deployment of cutting-edge models, and ensuring alignment with ethical and compliance standards. By collaborating closely with stakeholders, you\u2019ll help position Capitec as a leader in leveraging AI for business innovation and growth. Additionally, you\u2019ll mentor your team to maintain high standards in AI\/ML model quality and operational excellence, promoting a culture of continuous learning and data-driven innovation.<\/p>\n
Our ideal candidate has:<\/p>\n
\tOver 5 years in AI\/ML model development and deployment, including 2 years as a manager or team lead within an analytical team.
\n\tManaging senior and executive level stakeholders and influencing decision making at these levels
\n\tUsing AI frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch to deploy with whilst using Python, SQL, Pyspark
\n\tHands on experience integrating AI Models into applications and services
\n\tBig data frameworks \u2013 Hadoop\/Kafka
\n\tGithub experience or Git<\/p>\n
