ENVIRONMENT:<\/p>\n
\tDESIGN, build, and maintain mapping products and analysis layers, primarily through ESRI GIS tools as the next GIS & Data Analyst sought by a leading Automotive Tech company.
\n\tYou will clean, manage, and document the collection of spatial, tabular, and alternative data, assist in the design and maintenance of geodatabases, schema, and data standards while managing the QA\/QC of geospatial data products and ensure reliability and consistency in outputs.
\n\tThe successful incumbent must possess a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in GIS\/Data Science\/Computer Science or similar field with 3 or more years of academic experience with some professional exposure in GIS, Data Analysis & Science.
\n\tYou will also need to be proficient with ESRI ArcGIS Suite, QGIS or similar GIS software, SQL, shapefiles, file geodatabases, GeoJSON, etc., and be able to build deliverables such as maps, dashboards, and\/or presentations for public consumption.<\/p>\n
DUTIES:<\/p>\n
\tSupport the collection of requirements for new spatial product development and other business operations support analyses.
\n\tClean, manage, and document the collection of spatial, tabular, and alternative data to ensure best practices are maintained.
\n\tDesign, build, and maintain mapping products and analysis layers, primarily through ESRI GIS tools.
\n\tSupport the integration of GIS and other data sources into proprietary software systems and dashboards.
\n\tAssist in the design and maintenance of geodatabases, schema, and data standards.
\n\tAssist in building, automating, and managing GIS infrastructure for geospatial analytics and operational support.
\n\tManage the QA\/QC of geospatial data products and ensure reliability and consistency in outputs.
\n\tSupport the design, development, and presentation of geospatial deliverables such as ESRI Storymaps, mapping products, dashboards, and other written documents.
\n\tOther tasks and responsibilities as assigned.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
Qualifications \u2013<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree in GIS, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.<\/p>\n
Experience\/Skills \u2013<\/p>\n
\t3 or more years of academic experience with some professional exposure in GIS, Data Analysis & Science, or related fields.<\/p>\n
Demonstrated experience with:<\/p>\n
\tESRI ArcGIS Suite, QGIS, or similar GIS software.
\n\tSQL, and\/or other similar database languages.
\n\tGeospatial concepts, projections, and spatial data formats (shapefiles, file geodatabases, GeoJSON, etc.).
\n\tComplex analyses related to large datasets.
\n\tBuilding deliverables such as maps, dashboards, and\/or presentations for public consumption.
\n\tExperience creating technical and process documentation.<\/p>\n
Preferred to have \u2013<\/p>\n
\tHonor\u2019s Degree in GIS, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
\n\tFull-time professional experience with GIS, Data Science, or related work.
\n\tESRI Online MOOC or other similar coursework.
\n\tExperience with ArcGIS Online and other ESRI products.
\n\tExperience with ESRIs ModelBuilder, QGIS Model Designer, Python, or a like automation tool applicable to a GIS environment.
\n\tExperience with Microsoft Power BI.
\n\tExperience with concepts in Network GIS & Topology analyses.
\n\tExposure to transportation, transit, public safety, or infrastructure sectors.<\/p>\n
