\tTo manage and supervise all relevant Point of Sale (POS) transactions ensuring total Customer satisfaction. Handle all Cash Office and banking processes and related Point of Sale (POS) Administrative functions.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 plus 5 (five) year related experience or minimum of 10 (ten) years\u2019 work related experience
\n\tAbility to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area where the position is available
\n\tAbove average numeric skills
\n\tProven ability to provide exceptional Customer service
\n\tProven ability to work under pressure
\n\tMust be computer literate
\n\tPrevious Cashier experience<\/p>\n
Key Performance Area\ufeff<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that all speed point transactions, i.e. credit and debit card transactions are done effectively and efficiently.
\n\tBe willing to assist Customers with their needs through clear and effective communication
\n\tAssist the Customers with requests, queries and complaints and resolve or escalate to management
\n\tOffer fast, friendly, and efficient service to all Customers
\n\tControl and ensure the availability of stationary and consumables, within the Store<\/p>\n
Cash Handling and Banking<\/p>\n
\tControlling of Store floats (Petty Cash, Till Floats, Change Floats)
\n\tChange ordering and dispensing
\n\tBalancing and recording of Petty Cash expenses and vouchers in the Petty Cash Ledger
\n\tProcessing Back Office transactions and Cashing up of Cashiers and the Back Office Till (e.g. Bulk Deposits, Special Deposits, Charge Cards, Loyalty Cards, and Returns etc.)
\n\tEnsure that all returns are valid and done correctly
\n\tCash Clearance to be actioned and queries to be resolved
\n\tEnsure pick-ups are done timely
\n\tCarry out End of Day sessions on all Point of Sale (POS) terminals
\n\tDaily Cash Up of all Point of Sale (POS) terminals including the Back Office terminal
\n\tEnsure 2nd (second) Cashbuild designated Employee to be present with CIT money collection
\n\tEnsure daily takings are collected by the Cash in Transit (CIT) Company.<\/p>\n
Ready for Business<\/p>\n
\tEnsure Ready for Business processes implemented
\n\tEnsure the Cashiers maintain their area of responsibility
\n\tEnsure the Cash Office is neat and tidy at all times
\n\tOnly Cash Office related documentation within the Cash Office and that all documentation is filed neatly and that all filing is up to date<\/p>\n
People Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that all Cashiers are present and available in their area of responsibility in order to assist Customers and perform all other responsibilities.
\n\tEnsure Cashiers have a trained backup available
\n\tEnsure Cashiers execute their daily duties. (Ready for Business and Beyond my Control checklists).
\n\tEnsure scheduling of subordinates is done on time
\n\tTake responsibility of Product Knowledge training to Cashiers as per Store Manager agreement
\n\tScheduling and supervising of all Point of Sale (POS) Employees. (Leave, Time Off, Day off etc.)
\n\tMonitor and evaluate performance of subordinates
\n\tEnsure all cashiers comply with the company dress code<\/p>\n
Safety (OHSA) Requirements<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that safety standards are adhered to.<\/p>\n
Security Awareness<\/p>\n
\tBe aware of any suspicious people and \/ or activities. In the Store and outside.
\n\tPassword security
\n\tEnsure that the Cash Office is secured
\n\tEnsure that the Cash Office door is always locked when Pick-Up\u2019s, Cash-Up\u2019s and Cash In Transit (CIT) collections are done
\n\tEnsure Till Pick up\u2019s are done within the set parameters
\n\tNo unauthorised persons allowed in the Cash Office
\n\tSafe keys are locked away and in safe custody
\n\tNo Rations, stock, and unrelated documentation to be kept in the Cash Office.<\/p>\n
