Job Description<\/p>\n
\tThe Occupational Health Assistant provides clinical, technical, logistical, and administrative support within the Occupational Health service. The role ensures the efficient delivery of medical surveillance services, the safe handling and maintenance of equipment and vehicles, and the accurate execution of occupational health screening and reporting functions.<\/p>\n
Job requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ National Senior Certificate
\n\tValid driver\u2019s licence (Code B or higher)
\n\tBasic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
\n\tWillingness to undergo training in Audiometry, Vision, and Spirometry testing
\n\tExperience in a healthcare, clinic, or occupational health environment will be\u00a0an advantage
\n\tExperience in medical screening or field-based work will be\u00a0an advantage
\n\tExperience driving and maintaining a company vehicle will be\u00a0an advantage<\/p>\n
Duties and responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDrive and manage the Occupational Health vehicle, including daily checks, servicing coordination, and general maintenance
\n\tAssist with Audiometry, Vision (Keystone), and Spirometry testing
\n\tSupport the OHNP during occupational health medical examinations
\n\tManage and maintain occupational health equipment, ensuring calibration and functionality
\n\tAssist with biological waste management and collection coordination
\n\tSupport stock control, stock takes, and ordering of medical supplies
\n\tCapture and update medical records and assist with reporting and data entry
\n\tEnsure accurate and confidential handling of all occupational health information<\/p>\n

Working Conditions<\/p>\n
\tField-based role with regular travel to client sites
\n\tExposure to occupational health and clinical environments
\n\tMay require early starts and occasional extended working hours<\/p>\n
