{"id":34832,"date":"2026-04-29T10:01:20","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T10:01:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/facilities-manager-office-gauteng\/"},"modified":"2026-04-29T10:01:25","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T10:01:25","slug":"facilities-manager-office-gauteng","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/facilities-manager-office-gauteng\/","title":{"rendered":"Facilities Manager &#8211; Office Gauteng"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Key Performance Areas<\/p>\n<p>Financial Management<\/p>\n<p>\tPreparation, Implementation, monitoring, and reporting on Capex and OPEX budgets.<br \/>\n\tTo monitor, investigate and report on optimum recoveries on all utilities, including the required meetings.<br \/>\n\tAbility to read and track income statement movements, including analysis of accounting transactions.<\/p>\n<p>KPI Management<\/p>\n<p>\tOptimise the life span of the buildings by determining the maintenance requirements and creating a maintenance plan within the allocated timeframes at optimal costs while continually re-evaluating.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tManage the implementation of planned maintenance activities and ensure ongoing execution by project managing the entire process.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tProvide technical and operational support and assistance to the Portfolio.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tEnsure compliance to statutory regulations, policies, and procedures by conducting inspections and liaising with tenants to assist with non-compliance.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tMonitor BO installations, take-on inspections, and take-back inspections.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tProject manage the refurbishments, redevelopments, additions, CAPEX projects, TI\u2019s and redecorations of buildings.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tConduct building inspections to ensure standards are maintained.<br \/>\n\tIdentify opportunities to optimise the performance and efficiency of the building (i.e., water saving initiatives \u2013 greening initiatives) and to ensure the delivery of high value-add recommendations.<br \/>\n\tEnsure proactive life cycle management of all assets within the Portfolio.<br \/>\n\tEnsure year on year proactive maintenance planning of all assets within the Portfolio.<br \/>\n\tProcurement \u2013 Align supplier management \/ procurement with GPT objectives.<br \/>\n\tLeverage technology advances to ensure best practice implementation within the Portfolio.<br \/>\n\tAssist with sustainability plan and roll out of initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Risk Management<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure full adherence to the OHS requirements as outlined by the National Facilities Manager to minimize risk across the portfolio. \u00a0<br \/>\n\tEnsure procedures are in place to mitigate and manage risk, ensuring buildings are compliant to prescribed legislation, implement corrective action when required.<br \/>\n\tOversee My Buildings proactively with the Building Managers team.<\/p>\n<p>People Management<\/p>\n<p>\tManage and coordinate staff activities and deliverables (Building Managers, and Handymen), by ensuring compliance to policies, upskilling staff, and effectively using the company performance and development management system. To share all relevant information with the team as well as provide support (answering queries and providing advise).<br \/>\n\tAssist in the recruitment of technical staff for the sector.<br \/>\n\tEnsure statutory and compliance training is implemented across the portfolio.<br \/>\n\tEnsure recruitment is done in line with the transformation policy<br \/>\n\tProvide leadership and guidance to the team<br \/>\n\tSet clear performance targets for the team<br \/>\n\tEnsure performance management is done in a consistent way throughout the portfolio<\/p>\n<p>Administration<\/p>\n<p>\tPerform administrative functions such as issuing of orders and processing of invoices in accordance with the company procurement policy.<br \/>\n\tEnsure timeous and accurate report writing.<br \/>\n\tOversee Growthpoint My Buildings Platform effectively and drive Statutory and Preventative schedules. Managing reports &amp; follow up.<br \/>\n\tTrack SLA\u2019s and ensure implementation thereof.<br \/>\n\tOversee Asset Register with Building Managers.<br \/>\n\tOversee Roof Schedules in conjunction with Building Managers.<br \/>\n\tOversee Sprinkler schedule in conjunction with Building Managers.<br \/>\n\tOversee SAPOA Records and Property Information schedules.<br \/>\n\tOversee Small Works Rates and facilitate the small works RFP.<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholder Management<\/p>\n<p>\tliaise with clients, responding to queries in quick turnaround times and generally manage the client-landlord relationship.<br \/>\n\tEffectively manage service providers, to ensure effective and efficient service delivery in a cost-effective manner and in line with good business practices.<br \/>\n\tAttend and manage KPA meetings with service providers.<br \/>\n\tManage Performance management and KPIs of service providers.<br \/>\n\tShare knowledge and information across sectors and regions in improving collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<br \/>\nEducation<\/p>\n<p>\tA Tertiary qualification in the field of Engineering or Construction Management.
