Job Summary:<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Packer\/ General Assistant. The primary responsibility of the Packer\/ General Assistant is to ensure that all products are properly sorted, stacked, packed and prepared according to company guidelines and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tPack according to specifications
\n\tEnsure that all products are properly labeled and coded for accurate tracking
\n\tAssist the operator with\u00a0
\n\tMaintain a clean and organized work area
\n\tPerform basic troubleshooting and safely clear jams to ensure optimal performance
\n\tInspect products for defects or damage before packaging
\n\tAssist with inventory management and stock control
\n\tFollow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
\n\tMeet productivity goals and deadlines set by the supervisor
\n\tCommunicate effectively with team members, operator and supervisor<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum grade 10 certificate, but a Grade 12 will be an advantage
\n\tPrevious experience in a production environment preferred
\n\tAbility to lift and move heavy objects such as pallet jacks
\n\tExcellent attention to detail and organizational skills
\n\tStrong work ethic and reliable attendance record
\n\tAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
\n\tBasic math skills for counting and recording inventory
\n\tKnowledge of safety protocols and procedures
\n\tGood communication skills and ability to work well in a team
\n\tMust be able to work shifts and overtime
